Seriously I would have done an award winning dive, grabbed my ankle in agony and refused to move until the police and an ambulance arrived, next call injuries for you hotline to see how much the vultures could extract out of Tesco for you assault injury, loss of income, physiotherapy.

:rotfl: While I dont support the whole compo culture going on (no harm, no foul), the image of someone actually doing this made me giggle. Especially if it was over the top acting.

Be careful, you are talking to Sheldon Cooper!

    Bazinga.

Nah, the real Sheldon would have written a 3000 word explanation about question marks, its first usage, common mistakes in its application and then proceeded to give a non exhaustive list of every situation where a question mark can be used, before ultimately pointing out that the way it had been used is not in line with any acceptable usage but that he knows how hard it is for intellectual inferiors to grasp the complexities involved.

Essentially goater seems to be wil wheaton in this. In that Sheldon sees him as a mortal enemy, probably regards wil as the less intelligent of the two yet events shown have suggested that Wil is actually the superior mind given he has "outfoxed" Sheldon (if memory serves) at every turn.

    I wonder if they'll progress into friends......nahhhh.

I have been shopping in Tesco for as long as I can remember and have been going to the same store for nearly ten years now.

Today I nipped into the store just to pick up a few things, parked the car and headed to the store entrance. Upon entering the store, a security guard suddenly rushed over from his station and stood in front of me with his arms out. He said he was not going to allow me to enter the store and that I was to leave.

So now I am completely confused as to what is going on. I aked what was happening, but was simply told that I was barred from the store, knew it and must leave. I said he must have the wrong person, but he called some other staff over who effectively surrounded me. He then said if I did not leave, the police would be called and I would be charged with trespass. I asked again what I had done wrong, but all he would say is "you know you're barred, just go". I really had no idea what he was on about.

The whole scenario was so embarassing, I turned to leave the store and as I did the security guard followed behind, pushed me and I fell. I got up and told the guard I would be calling the police and he replied that they would believe him and the store manager over scum like me. I demanded to see the manager htere and then and was told once again, if I did not leave straight away, they would detain me, call the police and have the book thrown at me. I really have no idea what he was on about.

At this point, I had had enough and just very quickly walked out the store with everyone looking. Obviously I am going to complain to Tesco about the incident and I will not be shopping there again, but I really don't know what the best thing to do next would be. Could I press assault charges? Would I be due any compensation for the incident? It really is an awful position. Definitely won't be going back, that's for sure.

so you saw the security was Asian, BUT are you phsycic cos you asked to see the manager but left before doing so?????????? how do you know he was Asian

still I suppose it makes a change from subway getting the loony grief

I believe there was an element of racism involved. The security guard was Asian and so was the manager, evidently the threat of a white customer entering their store was enough to elicit this response.

    Ta-Daaah!

Call me Mystic Niall. Anybody want next week's winning lottery numbers? :D
  • OP would, but Tesco won't let him buy a ticket.

This reminds me of the thread where a white customer claimed to be chucked out of a supermarket by the asian staff for attempting to buy booze during ramadan.:rotfl:

Can't remember if that was Tesco's or Asda though.

The poster who puts a question mark after a statement is perhaps an Australian? That's how it reads to me?

Another thread idea. Tesco have discontinued their Finest Croissants thereby discriminating against the rich.
Don't grow up. Its a trap!
