    Well done to little moo.

Been out to a dinner party at a friends house. We arrived and were told we were going to a strangers house. The man was the most boorish person I have ever met. He ridiculed my Breastfeeding support work. (girlfriend has plastic boobs paid for by him). Nothing wrong with boob jobs but his attitude was beyond sexism. He was so obnoxious. We managed to get an early cab and were home before 10.45.

Wish I'd stayed in and watched Strictly.

Things better with DH. I gave him a list of jobs to do and he did them. We bonded over the horror of the dinner party.
  • I know the week is ending and all but, how do I join this thread? I am in desperate need of getting my house in order and need a "virtual" buddies too for support. Long story short, we downsized while my hubby works overseas. We poured the content of a house, and an office into a tiny flat. I put lots of office stuff (old files and our two bykes) into storage but I need to get my house decluttered and fixed as best as possible for Christmas. HELP!

It's glorious here; I have washing out (ever the optimist) and DS has been decluttered to footy. On the weway back I went for petrol and did my tyres.

  • morning......sorry flyladies and flygents that I have been MIA since stupid o'clock Sat AM :o

hope everyone is well.....haven't had a chance to read back over the thread, so hugs, stick and spoons to all that need them xxx

seeing as I have some Mr T clubcard vouchers that go out of date at the end of Nov and I can't seem to get a sofa that I like/will fit/will stand up to teenagers loafing around on it......I have decided to use the exchange to Double up of Frozen Food.....so I am getting a Turkey today, and some vegetarian frozen yummies for DD2 and DD3 so I don't spend too much time making stuff from scratch - then I am hiding it away at the bottom of the freezer so the veggie stuff doesn't get scoffed prematurely :eek::eek:

the turkey will be safe until at least 20th Dec as DD1 is still away at uni til then :rotfl:

right - got my full face on (foundation too, and none in the carpet :D) voucher just arrived by email, so off I go
The cold never bothered me anyway

I know. I didn't say the issue hadn't been taken out of storage, dusted off, checked for minor maintenance problems and had a test run in true Flylady preparedness style. All of the annual pre-seasonal checks have been carried out and it seems the equipment is in full working order. It is now on hold until 1 December.
At which point I shall still be putting my fingers in my ears and going LA LA LA LA LA even louder than before!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Oh! My!! Gawd!!! I think I'd have been out of there the minute "going to a stranger's house" was mentioned.:eek::eek:

You just joined, MoonJelly; welcome aboard! We'll be glad to be your virtual buddies - you'll have a tidy home before you know it!;)

I've constructed a Shepherd Spy and a cherry crumble - just waiting for the oven to hot up to put them in. The Dys0n is having a rest til tomorrow afternoon - I see no sense in vacuuming today, when it'll be all over Labrador hair again by this evening, and Jessie's going home tomorrow. Plus she hates vacuun cleaners. So I'll do it when she's been picked up.;) A job less for Mr LW this weekend.:o He's still got Mount Ironmore to do though - even more vital that he does it at the moment; my left wrist is almost totally kaput, and I can only iron left-handed.

After being signed off back to my GP by the Rheumy, I'm still in stupid amounts of pain; debating whether to see if I can get an appointment with GP or wait for the requested appointment with the Pain Clinic. Apparently, at one time the Rheumy could have referred me to the Pain Clinic direct; but now she has to write to my GP and ask the GP to refer me. Red Tape is alive and well in the NHS it seems.

Ah well, there's people worse off than I; at least I have a DH who is able, and happy, to help.:A:T
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Afternoon all

Back from Ideal Home, got Christmas gifts for teachers and DS2 and I have treated the family to a very expensive gift, oooops. Luckily DH is fine about this sort of thing but I am not good at spending lots of money.

DS3 has been really ill all weekend, spiking temps and hallucinations again. DS1 in the foulest of moods and in big trouble here.

Need to get the washing in from the line and do a teeny bit of flying.

Chaotic day after DS's sleepover. I started with a caffeine fix before I could face the testosterone filled lounge. Not convinced it was a sleepover - more of an xbox all nighter.
I have packed away all the airbeds and spare pillows etc (made them bring sleeping bags)
I have picked up biys of popcorn and sweet wrappers dusted, hoovered and wiped sticky finger marks off the sofas.
WM on x2 and TD but most stuff folded and put away, just got HHI to do to get the shirts done. Got some bread in the bread maker for tea.
Early night all round I think to catch up:)
