I think the nurse really got a bum deal on that one, but DS was sooo cute, polite, selfless and played the charm offensive when offered a teddy for being so brave he said "I will choose a red one for my baby Hollie in Mummy's tummy", so the nurse let him choose one for himself aswell - bless him
Skint Breeder, you have a wonderful way with words and your DS clearly takes after you :rotfl:
I'm joining the Lost GUAG club this week: have achieved a few things but not nearly as much as I would have liked. I think it must be due to the horrid weather and the early onset of darkness.
Today I have only managed these:
- HHI
- mop kitchen floor
- dust lounge
- S&S bathroom and downstairs WC
- list 2 large (but inexpensive) items on eB@y - they are taking up too much room
- make 5 phonecalls to begin sorting out the December rota
- order replacement link chain for the vertical blinds in the lounge
Still lots of oddments to do this evening:
- Send our Christmas wish lists to my children and ask for DS1's and DD's (DGS1 has already asked for a watch which we are happy to get him)
- Email DS2 about what we will get off his wife's wish list and email her about his, IYSWIM
- Email DS1 about his birthday present - does he want money for something in their new house, such as electric sockets or water pipes?
- Sort birthday cards for next week
- Find frames for the photos of DGSs and put them up as per strict instructions from DGS1.
At least our evening meal will be easy to prepare - here's the rest of a toad-in-the-hole that I made earlier in the week!
Congratulations to babymoo for managing almost a full day without accidents, and to bossymoo for making a good decision about p/t work :T
(((Hugs))) and healing vibes to everyone who needs them, especially LW, Jazee's DS, Dancemum's friend's DD, Ed and wendywitch.0 -
Collapsed on sofa with tea. Wow how tired am I???
Little moo recovered her position after the 3-wee accident and was dry till bedtime. Even shouted me back upstairs tonight to go for a tinkle and her bedtime nappy was dry :T bless her she's been so good.
DS must have been to the loo at least once an hour lol, so he had his share of the haribo sweetsthey even gave me one when I went :rotfl:
So I washed the floor downstairs while they were painting aft tea. Then someone walked pink footprints everywhere. DS wiped it up though :A I stood them both in the kitchen sink to wash paint of lol and sent them off to bed.
They've been little darlings all day xxx I have got bog all done although the wm has been on so need to hang that up, just swimming stuff and wet pants
I'll catch up next week...Bossymoo

Evening lovelies
Feeling relatively human this evening so am going to attack the bathroom once I have munched something but first I have catch ups to do (please bear in mind they go back a couple of days)
Goodintentions - it certainly sounded like avoidance techniques with your DH
Toochoosey - sorry to hear about your BIL
Bonnie bumpkins - Good luck with the job search
Helenjelly - hope the headache improved
Dancemum - positive vibes fro your friends daughter
Skintbreeder - bet youre exhausted
Lamewolf - huggles for you
Mrs moneypenny - I freeze milk but always take the plastic tops off and just rest them on the top to allow for expansion. Seems to work as I havent had any split since
Honeybear - difficult situation re the cat. I would probably just keep out of it, you made an offer, they declined and you still have to live next to them!
Dusty - great news about Ed
Mumto5 - well done to DS
Bossy - You wont regret the time you can give to DD while DS is at school. You cant buy that back, ever. And well done to both your littlies. Oh and I had to laugh about your special car seat as I remember seeing something advertised for car seats and buggys that made me laugh, a piddle pad :rotfl:
Jazee - Hugs and positive vibes for DS
Wendywitch - I'm not surprised you had a bad dream with that lot
Macpep - get a check up with your doc and make sure theres nothing physical like anaemia going on, and as for all the ironing, revolutionise. Workgear/uniforms/best clothes are all that need doing. Fold the rest, put it away and give yourself a break. And have a kazmeister huggle.
Skintbreeeder - glad youre feeling more human, and oh dear at DS but how cute
Wouldbequalitymoneysaver - your post should be on the confessions of an oldstyler thread
Oh no its the new Big Bang Theory now so I will have to watch that first.

Hello!
Not quite sure where I am with things tonight, let's see
Thursday - Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
Level One
[STRIKE]Clean floors in these rooms[/STRIKE][STRIKE]
[/STRIKE]did that on Monday

Clear any clutter from desk
Give the desk a good wipe/dust
[/STRIKE] all done monday tuesday - I must be psychic!
Level Three
[STRIKE]Run a virus check on the pc
[/STRIKE][STRIKE]Wash towels, t-towels, flannels etc
Wipe window ledges
[/STRIKE] all up to date
Extras
[STRIKE]Give any bath toys a good sort and put them through the DW, bin any yucky ones[/STRIKE][STRIKE]
[/STRIKE]none![STRIKE]Sort through all the pots of pens and pencils, test they work (kids can help) and bin any that don’t, sharpen any pencils that need it. [/STRIKE] all ok
Well, thats lucky - I seem to have got a pre-emptive strike in by accident as I did all this Monday and Tuesday and its still fine, as only me to mess it up. Study is a work in progress, Ive some buts out there to move to the shed at the weekend, and decorating things to move to understairs cupboard then too. I need to be sure the study is functional as Im taking over a committee role for a society I belong to, so will need to be doing some "work" some evenings (hopefully not too many!)
Hugs to all those in need, well done to Miss Bossymoo :T and those who have successes today/this week

Thanks, and kaz, our piddle pad is an old towel wrapped in a carrier bag and placed inside an old cushion cover lol. I put it together when DS was first using the toilet and I don't remember him weeing on it at all, as I told him it was his special cushion haha.Bossymoo

Good evening
I have swept & mopped the kitchen floor with my new mop. It is a lot easier
I have also been to the dentist. She gave me the choice of check up today and another appointment to fill the broken tooth, or a rushed fill now & check up another time, as she didn't have enough time for both (she always runs t time). I opted for check up, and have an appointment tomorrow morning for the filling. Luckily, that is all that needs doingThat is a major frog chomped, as it certainly wasn't as bad as I thought when I finally got there
I managed to finish the 2yo check for Miss T, only to find my printer has no inkI said I will email it to mum for her to see, and will print off when the ink arrives. I also wrapped both presents & wrote out cards & sent the presents home with the kids.
Tomorrow, I will:
[STRIKE]walk the dog first thing[/STRIKE],
[STRIKE]clean the bathroom[/STRIKE],
[STRIKE]put on some washing[/STRIKE],
[STRIKE]dentist appointment[/STRIKE]
study (at least 1 hour)
[STRIKE]work (2 1/2 hours - yay!)[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]email invoice & 2yo check[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]prepare some arty stuff for kids - probably Pudsey-basedDOH!! Just remembered - I don't have ink
We may have to cook......[/STRIKE]
That is enough for now0 -
DS only got 10 minutes nap before DD3 irritated him awake- tried settling him down for ages....no joy...gave up and v@xed upstairs carpet make up stains -
I only v@xed them a few weeks back when I joined the thread, but I can't believe how much surface dirt I got out again besides the makeup - especially as I have a "no shoes upstairs" policy:eek::eek::eek:
DS getting sleepy, but not enough for me to sneak off and fly - so I will get some items off today's list overnight - but I see the forum is off overnight.....so no stupid o'clock posts from me tonight :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
see you all in the morning flyladies and flygentsThe cold never bothered me anyway0 -
So paid work took a lot longer than I thought
Ended up very complicated but got there in the end, no thanks to DD who decided she wanted to order Xmas pressies for her dads side of the family. Lots to do and I forgot to post the birthday cards, so thats top priority for tomorrow since its the person birthday
