  • Hi there

A quick catch up before I go to work - as usual don't want to go, and I'm only part-time now! Kaz, I felt for you. When I was teaching, 14 hour days were the norm esp when there was an evening class. No fun doing those long hours, is it? I hope the rest of the week is better for you.

Been really busy here (off list!). OH hoovered through, I dusted, tidied, did bathroom and kitchen, then mopped kitchen and conservatory floors while he tidied porch and put things away he'd left out. Sorted some cupboards, DW, cat's dishes and just had a toastie and having 20 mins on here before I go to work! Really pleased with how much we did. That was after getting our and cat's breakfasts, feeding the birds outside and having a shower!

Strong healing and calming thoughts for Jazee's DS, I do hope things go well with his treatment and it's not too bad for him. Good vibes and special wishes to all those feeling under par or down. R x

Been to Aldi and stocked up on Christmas chocolates for the tree and stockings. Also got some PJ bottoms for DS1 for christmas in Mr A and a poncho for me, not 100% sure about it but I can return it if need be.

Lots of people needing vibes.... young Ed, Dancemum's friend's DD, and now Jazee's DS.... how about I light a healing candle for all who need it later on? I have a suitable HM one in the chest.:o

Mr LW has instructed me to restrain Flying to Level One til this flare is past; we're certain that it is a flare, just not showing up anything in the bloodwork. This is based on previous experience, btw.;) So Level One it is for a while.... Bedroom and spare room have duly been done.:o This means I don't have to Fly tomorrow, when Mr LW is wfh again, and Miss Jessica Dog is due to arrive.:D (And I'll have black Labrador hair everywhere):D

Mr LW used up the last of a bottle of tea tree shampoo this morning, so I've rinsed it out and used the final dregs to give the brushes and combs a wash.

Bangers'n'mash for dins tonight - Mr LW has prepped the spuds and left them in water; and I think we'll prep the onion, tomato and cheese for tomorrow's pasta in cheese sauce and leave it ready in bowls tonight.;) See, meal planning works!:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Kidlets fed: noodle bolognese, no idea why that is preferable to spaghetti? Have wiped round dining room and kitchen. Will leave bathroom floor until later I think in case we have any accidents. DD looks very odd without a nappy. We even went swimming, I put my special potty training cushion in her carseat just in case but it wasn't needed. She's still on pants pair number one!
My hair looks hilarious, washed after swimming and not had chance to get the dryer to it...

    Hi All

Sorry this is a poo post! I am a bit late joining this week & been awol the last wee while, just feeling so CBA just now, its not like me at all, I hate the house being dirty & untidy, cannot seem to get the moitivation I need, I come in from work, do dinner lunches uniforms, basically the bare minimum I can get away with, then sit down & don’t move till bedtime.

I am so tired just now & feel so lazy! I guess when I get back into flylady, I will feel better, as I feel happier when the house is in order so I need to get off my bum & get started. Long Term Flylady
  • Afternoon flyladies and flygents! been out of the house all day just got back with DS from nursery, so not much off today's official list so far....but the day is young, and here at the Skint Ritz being a "fly - by - night" has a whole different meaning :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

DS actually slept right through from 7pm til 6.30 this morning:eek::eek::eek:

but I didn't fall asleep until after 2 because I kept expecting him to wake up, he did stagger from his little bed into my bed at some ungodly hour but he didn't fully wake up and neither did I:j

So today I feel almost human.....got a few things off last weeks list

I measured again for the settees that I was thinking of getting from Mr T's website with my clubcard points.....one won't fit, and the other one that I like that does fit has negative reviews about having chipboard :eek::eek: I need something that is going to stand up to everyday use and abuse and chipboard is no good to me........

so I have decided as I have vouchers that are upto their 2 yr expiry at end of month to convert into X2 for frozen food, so I can at least get a free turkey, brussels and some nice party food in for when DD1 comes back at Xmas (I think she will need feeding up by then!);) - so at some point later, I will have a look in the chest freezer, do some meal planning to make some space, THEN decide what I need and get a proper food delivery in!

went to my 99p shop in town, got all car de-icer thingy-a-ma-bobs, and a trug to put it all in so its not rolling round the boot annoying me :rotfl:, then the same again for the porch.....so if the locks on the car are frozen solid, like they have been in years gone by, then I can still get to the de-icer and stuff in the porch.

LEAVES! yes, my alarm went off and I took them down the dump - no compost rotting in my car boot now :rotfl: - thanks Lamewolf for the advice on that one

Got a special radiator duster (cleaning behind rads was on the official list some time ago, and was becoming a tadpole for me) This duster which is basically a glorified ruler with a microfibre cloth on it has been found by DS, and is now being helpfully wiggled behind my rads....but even so it is still a tight fit, so that can go off my list once I have done them all again myself!

Total of 3 cleaning trugs now, two to make up once DS settles down :D: so one for kitchen only, one for bathroom only and a portable one to take room to room - the Ex's rule book never worked, and 5 weeks into the the flylady thread :A I am getting my own rulebook and tool-kits now, and the house is looking best it has ever done :D

Just time for a quick cuppa and a lurk, while DS and I have some quiet time (if not a nap time) before DD3 comes in

hugs, stick and spoons to all :):):)
The cold never bothered me anyway

Oh Bossy Moo I'm so glad you're sticking with us and your Littlies for a while longer yet. Your posts do make me laugh. Congrats on Pants No1 today, btw.

Huge positive healing vibes to everyone feeling under the weather, including Lamewolf. I love the idea of your candle, and am sending you a virtual match for it. (Level 1 in the Wolf's Lair would be more than enough for the moment, I would have thought. Top man, that Mr LW for commonsense.) I hope the flare-up passes soon.

The shower room cleaned properly again, and am about to vacuum the whole house - which I've been meaning to do since Monday. This will be the last time I use this Dy$0n, which was my mother's. It's falling to bits and I'm planning on getting a new-to-me reconditioned one tomorrow.

Quick question. Does anyone have any figures easily to hand on loo normal roll usage? We seem to be getting through a great deal of it in the shower room loo which this week is being used by three adults - a roll a day, and I'm not talking budget loo rolls here. Does that sound right? (Bossy Moo, you are actively excluded from this question as my long term memory seems to recall being utterly fascinated by how well it flowed off the roll when I was very, very young. Those @ndrex puppies are amateurs! Your DD will probably start playing that game quite soon.)
    Better is good enough.

Macpep, Your GUAG will return when it is ready so be easy on yourself. Well done on being organised for Christmas.

Honeybear - is that the only loo? 5 of us, me at home most of the time, kids in shifts and DH a lot less we get through 2 on average a week. I do believe some rolls are getting smaller.

I'm feeling all Christmasy which is unlike me.

No, but only three adults are using the shower room this week. (I'm one of them and I normally use the en-suite, but this week I'm not, which is why I'm aware of this.) I'm at home pretty much all of the time and the other two lodger adults work full-time. They are Cu$$helle fat, generous, rolls and I'm astonished by having to put another one in there every day. It's never happened before.

May I be the first to wish you a Merry Christmas?
