Watching the grinch with the littlies
Decision made! We'll stay as we are and I'll crank the hours up when they are both in school or when universal credit makes us destitutewhichever happens first xxx
glad you have made your decision.......I worked full time for years with little ones and I hated being told everything second hand, and missed so much....when I worked part time it was much improved.....people like students take on acceptable debt for a specific period of time to improve their future prospects, and as long as they are not frivolous with what they add to their debt and have a clear plan when to start paying it off, then it's not bad debt...... spending more time with the little moos now until they are both in school can only improve their future prospects and your contentment, as you say plenty of time to crank up the hours in the future
once again, good for you BossymooThe cold never bothered me anyway0 -

Thank you Skinty I only really want it for the floors, I hate mopping
I'm not posting a list cos it doesn't look like much has been done but I have been working,
4 loads of washing done and either dried or put on the airer,
Cleared and wiped the table, replaced table cloth,
Swept the kitchen floor,
No point “stop cleaning” the carpet hence another reason for buying a steam cleaner
Gathered rubbish etc out of car, can’t find scrapper or deicer, I’ll ask the girls when they get in,
Will get fleece blankets out of airing cupboard when I put the airing away in a bit.
Frog bitten but not yet eaten, glass in car boot for recycling tomorrow along with a million carrier bags for the recycling bin thing Tesco has.
The something to make me happy from last week I’m going to say was my hair cut
Lots of pondering gone on today
Remotes all wiped, smoke alarms WILL be tested when I next walk past them, I keep forgetting
Only me for dinner so just something quick then back to it. I want to get a few more bits done before the girls get in at 9 ish0 -

What do you all think?
I have just ordered oneDon't get it direct from the website, as the P&P is £6.99. I got it from Robert Dyas (free P&P over £40), and got £6 cash back as well! (via TopCashback). Apparently it has been dispatched
Well, that is the hard part of the week overI threw away a lot of food again tonight
(cottage pie). It is really hard to find something they all eat (not helped by one of them having a milk protein intolerance!)
My aim tonight is to do some paperwork, maybe a little studying, and perhaps fill the WM before bed.
Re the stray cat - hopefully it will just go straight home when they let it out (assuming they do let it out eventually)0 -

Take care everybody.:beer:Lose 20lb in 12 weeks 5/200 -
Bossy - my littlies aren't so little and as I'm in sole charge I have to say I do like the P/T aspect.
If I DID work f/t my workload would almost double - but my income wouldn't.
Plus I have time to sort stuff out.
I have munched a major frog today!
And got rid og a couple of tadpoles tooDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
I've done rubbish at the flying today but I did cut the back grass and thus hoovered up all the fallen leaves in the process (all added to my leaf cage for leaf mould) and helped DS3 with his sewing oh and took DS2 back and forth to school for his AR. I've also done a bit of online banking.
DH has landed so I need to collect him from the station at 10pm so I'll clear the kitchen up, empty the DW and put the WM on before then. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Just dropping in to say hi to everyone.
Have been going through paperwork thats been lurking in a box for years -do I need the gas bill from 2005?
Trying to do bits off the list this week level 1 most of the time but thats ok for me.
Glad Bossy has decided to stay part time - no little ones now, (DS3 is 25) but even though some times the extra money would have helped I think the time spent with them when they were little was the best.
Just going to do DW and then its ready for bed.
Hugs to all who need one
