Falsely accused of bullying in school l

given the fact that school has deemed their (group) behaviour towards the boy who has difficulties in a social setting as bullying, this should open eyes.
schools can get it wrong but its good to know the fact that this school is being to the point about bullying and tackling it head on, i sure they dont just "jump" on anyone who makes an accusation (sp) against them, surely the school's teachers would have been pre warned that a complaint has been made and to keep an eye out about the scenrio's that are going on in class and break times and to report back anything thing they may have seen or heared that backs up the complaint to be acted on.
is meritaten and others have said, aspergers is a very forthright conditio for teenagers, its black or white or nothing at all, theres no bending of trueth, theres no lying or exaggerations (but to you may sound like an exaggeration or bending of trueth).
(The Touch Effect):
if an aspie get touched on the head for e.g he will tell you you just touched my head, i dont like that it "felt" like you smacking a hammer on my head ( and he may react like he has just been hit with a hammer), to wich to him it actually did feel like a hammer being slammed on his head but to you or anyone else thats blowing it way out paportions but to him thats what it was like, like or not take it or leave it.
the "joking" about and "banter" maybe having the touch effect on his feelings, so yes it maybe your daughter genuinly dont feel like "she" is bullying him, but as a group "they" are bullying him with the added Touch effect as i descibed above.
The "The Touch Effect" i have highlighted and bold is my perception of an example to show how he could be perceiving the sitation in simple terms.0 -
Sorry, I agree with most of what you say but I think it's important to remember that lying involves intentionally telling an untruth. It may seem a petty point to some but intent is implicit and that's difficult to assume with someone who has Aspergers.
I worked with Autistic adults for 19 years and they dont really lie , but do not tell the whole story.
The specialist home had full camera's fitted because of this problem.
Example adult (a) saying he had been hit:-
Two adults sat at dining table.
Adult (a) " I have been hit by Adult (b) in the kitchen"
Camera shows. Adult (b) taking a biscuit. Adult (a) pushing Adult (b) and then Adult (b) pushing him back.
So although yes adult (b) pushed adult (a), it was in response to adult (a) pushing adult (b).
So although you say an Autistic person doesnt have the ability to lie, they unfortunately HAVE the ability to not tell the whole story.0 -

I'm not quite sure why you're responding to my post in that way. I pointed out that using the term lying implies an intent which, given the nature of Aspergers, is highly unlikely. I did not say that it wasn't possible for a situation to be misrepresented unintentionally.Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan
