Oooh I've just noticed that I'm now a 'not so newbie money saver' and I've got a star!! I'm not sure when that changed but I just got unbelievably excited about it, how sad am I!!

If you had planned to take lunch to work, but couldn't in the end (put some bread on overnight, was still too warm to slice it properly ) then would you count your lunch as part of your spending?

I don't want to cheat :A but am peeved at having to buy it - I bloody fell over in the rain on my way, struggled to get up with my preggy tummy, and how many people walked past me as if I wasn't there? So hate lunch already. £3, one sore bottom and one scraped hand, with fresh bread sat lonely at home.

Thanks ciara - bruised but fine, bit ashamed though :o Came home from work early and made a chocolate sponge to cheer me up, just cooling by the window now, yummy - and freeee :D

What a miserable day it's been - rain solidly until 5pm, since then its looked lovely.

Exercise no, if the parking is unncessary (ie you're too lazy to walk 5 minutes down the road) then yes, otherwise I'd say no.

If both are regular occurances anyway, then they should be budgetted for and therefore not an unncessary spend.

    Oooohhh - chocolate cake:j
Given that it is extremely unlikely that I will loose the 3 stone I need to loose between now & my hols on Thursday - can I have some please??

I have at last bought my holiday knickers!! What a price they are:eek: I'm a tad too big for primark, but bloomin heck - 4 pairs of sloggis were £22 in the fat lady shop!!

So I got big granny knickers and a pack of sort of sexy string things at M&s - they had a buy 2getonefree so it didn't seem too bad in the end. Bought a couple of T-shirts & a jumper, but still managed to get it all from my 50p savings tin which is just as well cos the last 4 months clothing budget has been used up in cc payments!

I bought a sim card to use abroad - that's an investment from the alleged holiday budget and apart from a couple of sudoko books that was it.
Oh b****r didn't buy sun tan lotion - still the forecast for Northern France is not good & DDiL says she's got plenty & I've got left overs from the last 3 years.

I know it seems as if I've spent loads, but this is great for me & I haven't bought any clothes or toiletries since before Christmas - I have saved for these!!

One unnecessary though - £1.60 for a coffe when out shopping - I so needed a sit down and a ciggie!! I know I know but..........
