It's about time I joined in one of these challenges... what do you class as unnecessary? What do you all spend your tenners on?0

Unncecessary for me is going to the cinema, treating myself to chocolate on occassion. Anything that doesn't come into food budget mainly

In that case, hello everyone, my name is fac73 and I am officially joining in
if that's okay..
I think I've got quite good lately at not spending very much - but I am just back from a weeks holiday - OH and I did set a budget for spending but it was VERY generous and we came in well under - so got to keep an eye on things, it gets easy quite quickly to lose track of things.
I have about £20 in my purse, and half of that is my bus fare for the week, so let's see how I do. When do you start the week or is there no set day?0 -
Hi Fac73,
Welcome,
You are just in time 'cos we do Monday to Sunday.0 -
Haven't been around for ages and really need to get a grip. I've really let things slide lately. This sounds perfect to get me back on track. Got £40 in my purse. Would like to get buy til next pay day (nearly 2 weeks away) without lifting any more cash so giving £20 to my OH and keeping £20 for me for 2 weeks. Here goes!!!0

Hey everyone ! I've not been keeping up with this thread, hope everyone is ok, and welcome to all the new comers.
I've discovered that my unncessary spending goes on munchies and pepsi max (or dr pepper zero if that's on special). I currently have £1.30 in my purse, I'm going to see if that can last me until saturday, which means, no pepsi max for me other than the 3l I already have, and there's not much chocolate that you can buy with £1.30, plus I could do without eating chocolate anyway.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0 -
Welcome Judi & welcome back ShirleyP.
It's a miserable wet Monday up here in the North.
For me today it's work, then holiday shopping.
I have vowed not to buy just for the sake of it!!
Take care all,

morning all, and welcome to judi24, fac73 and eagerlearner .... tenners at the ready!!
my tenner normally gets spent on munchies too! but i'm off chocolate for 2 weeks now so that should help. the trick is not to break into it!! it's too easy to spend 50p here and there. and remember, what you save this week can be rolled over into next week (or pay off debts if you'd prefer).
where is the sun?better get ready for work ....

Hey everyone, have been away for a few days and only just had the chance to catch up on the thread, everyone is doing really well and it's so good seeing everyone encouraging each other.
Welcome to the newcomers.
So I joined two weeks ago, first week I spent £8.50 so saved £1.50 and last week I didn't spend any of my £10 so really pleased! Will see how I go this week, I haven't taken the money out yet and will see how long I can last without it.
Good luck everyone!Debts in April 07 = £12,547.61 Debts in Aug 08 = £0I'm debt free! Woohoo!DFW Member # 476 Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0
