Well, I was planning on going home next week but I'm not now as I can't afford the train ticket. I need to buy an outfit for my recital so I'll have to look around for cheap things.. and then there's just food.

oh dear sf- how far away is home?
If you get there will family feed you and help you out with clothes??0 -
Well , I guess Sf will get back to us, but in the mean time I remain knickerless!!!
Despite my internet search Boots do not appear to sell the sim cards I can use in france.
I was confronted in boots by the last bottle of this super doopha face cream which sells for 175% value on ebay & stranger gave me maoney off token & I had points to spend & vouchers from the advantage point till & it was 3 for 2 & I got very confused & DH left me & went to halfords fo car things!!
Hope you are still with me 'cos DH wasn't!!
Tried very hard to buy only the necessities and came out with £47 worthof stuff for a cash payment of £13 plus another money off voucher & £8 extra in points- I'm sure I did well, but still confusedAnyway - he who 'thinks' he should be obeyed said no to further shopping, but has bought story books for dgd so I will have to go out again alone tomorrow:cool:

oooh you got "that" face cream!!! i've avoided boots just because of it ... just in case i saw a bottle on the shelf and took that as a sign that i just have to have it!!! let me know if you see a difference!!!
and it sounds like to me that you got a complete bargain in boots .. £13 for £47 worth of goodies!!
completely forgot about my chocolate challenge last night!!! went out for a friends hen night (met up with her later as she was having a meal which i couldn't afford and i drove so spent very little money) and as the other hens were so drunk and couldn't remember what they were having for desert or just didn't want it the waiter dumped 4 chocolate cakes and cream in front of me and said that we (my sister in law was with me) could have them or they'll go to waste .... SURELY IT WOULD HAVE BEEN RUDE NOT TO EAT ONE OF THEM???
anyway, only remembered this morning that i had given up chocolate. anyway, it was free and it was good!!!!Total debt as of May 2007: Tesco [STRIKE]£8499.65[/STRIKE] £7,333.57;

Hi Kaz2904, just wanted to say sorry for what has happened with your friend and I hope she is ok, does she have a partner and is there anything people on the ward van do for her in practical terms? Even if it is helping with shopping or meeting for coffee for some company. My heart goes out to her and the ward, it must be a terrible time. HugsMFW #185

Brassic,
It would have been rude and wasteful not to have eaten free chocolate desserts;)
I had only gone to the No 7 counter to redeem a voucher for a freebie when I literally saw the sign about 'that' cream and there were only 2 left - one for me and one for the lady who gave me the money off voucher, so it was definately meant to be!!
Was thinking at first that I'd sell it on, but think I'll treat myself - I will report back!
Going to leave the shops until after work tomorrow - will have less time then to be tempted so I better get on with washing, ironing and all the sorting out you feel you need to do before a holidy.0 -

Morning Jet,
How's it going with gentleman friend?
and how are your DDs?0 -
Hi Pippo,
My m/b's not working so I don't know if gentleman friends tried to ring/text - but in a way I'd rather he didn't and we just left it as a nice evening. I had lost all faith in men and didn't believe that 'normal' men were still out there. I'm in no position to hv a relationship at the mo n def wouldn't introduce another man to DDs. I need to get myself sorted 1st.
DDs are fine - we went for a walk in the pouring rain this morning with wellies and waterproofs and jumped in all the puddles. It was fun but I'm not sure if it was wise coz DD1's seems to be a bit under the weather. We're making apple cakes, banana cakes and weetabix brownies after lunch to freeze for lunch boxes.
Hope everythings well with you and that the rains not as bad as it is down here - where has our sunshine gone????
