Just called T`s and have been told that cards will be sent out from today 21/11/12. This apparently is so that people who decide to return the tablets don`t get sent a gift card also.

I mentioned this from the t&c
Should you wish to return the product within the 28 day Tesco policy, the refund value will be £20 less than the price of the tablet at the time of purchase.

so if gift cards were sent out Tesco would not loose out.
He just came out with the normal T`s blah blah...............

so I`ll wait and see if anything turns up

Ah right, I know that part was in the T&C but on Facebook they guy made out they'd withdrawn that offer when the 20% off started.

Fingers crossed we all get them soon without having to chase it up.

Hiya, I just got this reply from Tesco on the facebook page when I asked them about the gift card.

Due to technical difficulties, we have not been able to send out the gift-cards. Can I just extend my apologies about his, but we are trying to get the cards out to you as soon as possible. We've had no ETA as of yet, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled.

For the price promise you either need to order over the phone or instore. Ordering on the web will just mean you pay full whack. Try over the phone and see if they will sort it, but they don't compare to CPW over the phone, only (of others) John Lewis who had them reduced to CPW prices, but where OOS last time I looked.

If you go instore just make sure that your nearest CPW has stock, or hope it does and that currys don't check (mine did not)

Ended up just ordering from JL as has 2 year guarantee and also only £3ish quid cheaper with curry's price match (unless my maths is v bad which is possible!).

Samsung has a 2 yr guarantee, so those that didnt go to JL don't need to worry.

I had an email acknowledgement straight away, including a reference number. It went into my Junk folder though so didn't see it immediately.
