I found the Currys staff reluctant to price match instead using the tactic of saying their cashback offer with the case is better.
If you want to price match on the tablet only then stand firm & request it under their price promise. In my experience they only matched the tablet & not the case so I only qualify for the Samsung cashback.0 -
My local Curry's won't price match. They say that the £80 cashback makes it cheaper so they can't do it. They are saying the cashback comes from them, bot Samsung! Going to try online instead!
My local Currys said the same so i emailed customer services and have printed off their reply to take with me, it states they price match the same item in any store within 30 miles +10%. If they do not play ball i will email again, handily CPW is about 100 feet away from their store!0 -

Im now worried that I should have paid for them seperatedoes anyone know if this will be ok for claiming the cashback?
How did you get £70 cashback on each?

there's no benefit getting currys to match on tablet only because you would only get for same price as everywhere else and only get Samsung £50 back same as all other stores
to get the extra £30 from currys themselves (£80 total cashback) you have to get a case too, and then get price match
good deal if you can get it
PS I've never had currys price match anything - they have always found an excuse not to - some people might persue them legally - I just stopped shopping there about 10 years agoWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -

Sorry, but the benefit of the price match is obvious. They price match and add an extra 10% of the difference. In the case of the 7" tab this is an extra fiver.
With the cashback they offer on top of Samsung, for the 7" it is an extra £20. As you can buy a case for £10 (it does not have to be a case for the samsung either, the kindle case is cheaper) you make an extra £10 off the tablet from Currys.
So by getting the price match and the case deal, you save an extra £15 off the tablet.
Maybe if you haven't shopped somewhere for 10 years you should fact check before putting people off an extra £15 saving?0 -

Best option is Price match in Currys or PCWorld against Car Phone Warehouse. However, people have had various success with this, with some saying they are refusing the pricematch now.

If that doesn't work, next best option is purchase direct from Car Phone Warehouse.

It still looks like it is showing on Tesco Direct:

I reserved mine online, and then went into store, said I had a reservation but they needed to sort me out a deal. SA talked to manager and they sorted it out. Easy. I would suggest that you do this first as you may not get any hassle at all, like me.
If they say no, then bring up their website on one of their computers.your phone and ask them why they are not price matching, and if you have to call their customer services team.
But remember, be nice, smile, and it will help.0
