I went to Curry's and PC World yesterday and neither would price match CarPhone Warehouse.
Curry's didn't stock the Silver, which I wanted, only the white.
The manager at PC World refused to price match because he kept insisting that with the cash back they were cheaper which was true for the white but not the silver which PC World sell for £299 as opposed to £269 which they are selling the white for.
So.....I got Currys online to price match against John Lewis instead who currently have the silver for £238:
Tablet: £299.99
Case for my Kindle: £9.99
Subtotal: £309.98
Minus: £67.10 price match discount
= £242.88 paid
Minus £80 cashback
=£162.88 for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Silver :j :j :j
I'm a bit gutted that they wouldn't do it in store because they were doing Norton Tab security for £5 and they wouldn't match that online, but I'll just get a free download for the time being.
how do you get £80 discount?
I thought it was £50 disc from Samsung?
Edit: I see now the £80 cashback is from Currys only but they list it £30 more than anyone else but you got them to price match 1st - good move - wish i thought of that - I got it from Tesco for £239 - £50 samsung disc = £189When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -

Hilarious quote from Dirty Harry aka Clint Eastwood removed by moderaters - Shame you never got chance to see it
A 40-year old one-liner from a Clint Eastwood film wasn't hilarious at the time and certainly wasn't when repeated on all of your posts. ( For those of you who are curious about this "hilarious" one-liner, which Jethro had in large blue lettering it was "Opinions are like a$$holes... everybody has one".)
I am afraid that your current signature berating the mods for denying us sight of your "hilarious" quote is almost as annoying as the original. Perhaps, in these H & S conscious litigious times they were frightened of MSE member laughing themselves to death if they caught sight of it!
Your current signature demeans your often sensible posts.0 -

Im now worried that I should have paid for them seperatedoes anyone know if this will be ok for claiming the cashback?
I think the Samsung claim should be OK because i imagine it's done on/per registration/serial number so you will still have 2 serial numbers to registerWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -

The guy in currys said it would be ok but im wishing now that we bought them seperate and it wouldnt have been an issue0 -

I don't see you having a problem but if you do there's nothing to stop the store giving you two receipts - they just hand write them on receipt bookWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -
A question for those who have claimed the cashback from Samsung.
After registering the claim, have you received any email acknowledgement from Samsung or, in fact, any from amy means?0 -
My local Curry's won't price match. They say that the £80 cashback makes it cheaper so they can't do it. They are saying the cashback comes from them, bot Samsung! Going to try online instead!0
