Re. voluntary work, just to let you know that I have just applied for a couple of admin and reception jobs in my area, and am waiting for word back. So to all those of you who doubt that I am doing enough to help myself and whether I am assimilating your advice - you SEE, I AM doing everything I can, and more, to find a job.
When did you apply for these positions? Why have you not done this months/ years ago?0 -
I HAVE thought about applying for voluntary work before. It is just that either somebody else has snapped the job up, or something else has cropped up just before I was due to start (e.g. a job etc.). So there you go - I have disabused you from that misconception now. When did you apply for these positions? Why have you not done this months/ years ago?0

Thinking about it is not doing it, and I doubt very much that all the voluntary work has been snapped up in your brief moments of "thought", even in Liverpool!
You really are your own worst enemy.0 -
No you haven't. You can get voluntary work within a day or two. If you have been unemployed for years and the majority of that is doing nothing, no work/voluntary work then you have been lazy.
Granted dwelling on the past is rather pointless. However unless you acknowledge that you haven't been putting 100% into it and carry on deluded that 95% of people are luckier than you then you are never going to get anywhere.0 -
on the do it.org site theres over 600 voluntary positions and 250 positions within 15 miles of liverpool on direct.org, in fact theres a administrator job(is that something you could do truegho) on the first page0
