    OP

    What exactly do you want?

    How can Tesco' investigate'?

Is there a police report stating the driver was driving dangerously? they will not take your word for it, they would want expert evidence.

Do you have any one as a witness?

NO read the post with your eyes open. That's not what i asked.
Would you want vouchers in exchange for having your life and your kids lives put in danger.

    Sick!!!!!

No but I also wouldn't want to go on a witch hunt against a driver bad mouthing him on a forum when I didn't give him enough room either.

The highway code is quite clear about giving lorry drivers space on a roundabout. You ignore this advice at your peril.. one which you met recently. When you have your children in the car I don't think its fair for you to blame the lorry driver completely when you're the one ignoring the basic rules of lorries and roundabouts.

When i read this the 1st thing that comes to my mind being a lorry driver.

He moved to the right for the left turn, You came up the inside almost made it before he turned but not quite.

He failed to spot you coming up the inside.

I think all car drivers need to try and manouvre a large vehicle before taking to the road in a car.

Realise that if you turn left from the left hand land you wipe out the railings and lamposts, Or run pedestrians over on the pavement.

It will move 40 tons with ease. A family car is like swatting a fly.
Seen some nasty accidents in my time.

It's not the procedure for all Tesco drivers.

You fail to grasp the fact that on some islands the truck does not physically fit in one lane all the way round.

you fail to grasp that the guy was in the wrong lane to exit the roundabout....learn to read....this is nothing to do with the guy needing more than one lane.

If you can't help and only want to try and belittle someone then go find a child and bully them and make yourself feel big.....

I'm not saying anything different or that the op is at fault.......Lorries are not to be messed with!

Tricky a good and reasoned post. A shock for most tof this thread.

I agree with all that you have siad. The issue was that Pepper is still trying to defend having a go at the OP when what he said wasn't needed or necessary.

Now, I don't mind the sarge normally, he says it how it is a lot of the tijme, however, the OP had made the point that they were in front of the lorry.

This incident has nothign to do with positioning and everything to do with lane discipline. As a driver of a vehicle with limited visibility the lorry driver should have gone round the roundabout again, not excited and hit another vehicle in his blind spot. Given he has admited full liability and this does not seem to have been questioned by the insurance then that is the end of the matter.

the OP never asked who was at fault, that has already been decided and as they are the innocent party here they don't need patronising lessons from Sgt Pepper (in this case) as the standard of their drivign is not being called into question.

The OP is guilty of nothing more than being emotional about a very scary incident. I think a bit more understanding would have been good.

Your post here is a much better and reasoned out way of putting things than others have managed. However, thankign tiddlywinks for going against forum policy, trying to be smart about it and failing to apologise for their behaviour does count against you a little :)
What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?

    QUOTE]

If he was in the right hand lane for a left hand exit he was in the correct lane.

    Was he indicating his turn?

Haha, and you say you're not a drama queen.

It was a simple accident - the clue is the word accident. He didn't hit you on purpose.

You say you want to make sure the same thing does happen again - well you best stay inside forever. Accidents happen. Deal with it.

i was already in the correct lane and in front of the truck driver and had to slow down because the driver in front slowed down....this caused me to be half in front of the truck...the truck driver would have seen mke when i was in front and should have remembered i was there....only a split second passed...i couldn't change to the lane to the left of me which was also exiting the roundabout because there were cars already along side me. 2 lanes exited the roundabout....so he could have started off in my lane from 40meters before but decided to switchlanes at the last minute and in the wrong place.... it was a case of bad driving by him

i was IN FRONT OF THE LORRY!!!!!!! not next to.....which makes me wonder what he was doing at the same time as driving
And it wasn't 50/50% liabilty as is the case with accidents on the roundabout, he accepted FULL liability....because , duh!!!! he was 100% in the wrong.

    Something doesn't add up here..

You were in front of him yet he's pulled left to come off and managed to hit you? - Did you suddenly slam on the brakes in front of him or did you just pull out in front of him with the accelerator to the floor hoping for the best?

    Oh hang on..

I couldn't see his mirrors because I was half in front of him.

Someone is changing the story as they go along. So by behing HALF in front of the lorry the other half was to the side of him? So you didn't give him plenty of space then.

Sorry if you don't like my replies but something doesn't seem quite right about your tale of woe and the fact you can't let it drop and are on a witch hunt against him. As others have said if he was driving dangerously the police will deal with it. However its often best for them to wait a while as new things pop up which can show a different story - such as you changing your mind about where you were in relation to his lorry as I've pointed out above.

He may have admitted liability to you at the scene however thats often the easiest thing to do especially for lorry drivers who have a bad reputation. It saves an arguement at the scene and a lot of stress.

I don't think its fair of you to go on a witch hunt when you can't quite decide if you were in front or half in front/ to the side of the lorry.
