    Hi smlsave and tootoo.

I loved the class although it has taken me out of my blissful stage of denial which I was very happy in ;). I went in saying all I wanted was an epidural and came out excited about water births and aromatherapy :rotfl: Have decided I am up for anything except pethadine which I think really won't agree with me or baby. Knowing my luck the anaesthetist will be nowhere to be found and I will have to have it. Very aware that I have never known anyone get much of what was on their birth plan.

Having said all this I am so excited to meet this baby:j

Nsd today :T although tomorrow won't be as BF shall be buying some paint for our nursery. Despite buying mostly second hand stuff for baby I am really looking forward to designing the nursery and going all Kirstie Allsop on it with handmade stuff and vintage finds. Currently looking at bedding as we will have a single bed in there as well as the cot so bf can get some sleep on work nights. I think my nesting addiction to any channel 4 home programming is making me come over a bit Grand Designs.

Tomato soup addiction has to stop! I'm sure it's increasing my heartburn. Swigging from a bottle of gaviscon throughout the night and getting zero sleep. But it's so yummy and the perfect easy supper to come home to. We will eat vegetables tomorrow!

Ha to Channel 4 house programming! Been all over LLL, PS:SA, DYHFHTM, and started watching GCAS.

Think OH is getting a bit sick of it all to be honest!

How about tomato pasta? Pasta is not acidic and absorbs so may help with heartburn. The other thing I find is a hot water bottle on your chest can soothe the pain.

A great deal of tom soup being eaten here too with crusty bead and lots of butter - its just too easy to open a tin!

I like the sound of your nursery :) Will you post us a picture when its done? My Mum's really chuffed that she got a cotbed the other day for £25 so its amazing what you can get cheaply.

Not sure about the aromatherapy but I would recommend a water birth as I loved mine :D Am fighting to be allowed one this time too.

Youre right about the birth plans. I wanted water births but dd1 I had to be monitored and dd2 was too quick!
Gas and air is good stuff - only had a bit of that for my relief :)

Bf is so sick of house programmes too. I can't wait to be on maternity leave so the cat and I can watch all the daytime ones as well:D

Am off work tomorrow so shall make pasta bake which is one of my favourite diners :)

Not sure about posting a pic due to anonymity but will try to show something.

I had not thought about aromatherapy before but prepared to give it a go. It can't really do any harm unlike pethadine which sounds horrendous. I spend my life in our huge bath anyway (very un mse) and it's where I go to relax so water birth makes a lot of sense.

You are ultra brave. I think an epidural will still be on the cards for me but I will see how I go. Eek!

Still have the fridge full of veggies and more arriving tomorrow :rotfl: we decided to have a quick trashy dinner of fish fingers and chips which bf went to buy and cost us a fiver. This is definitely the week meal planning went wrong.

End of my financial week so shall enjoy totting up the figures tomorrow and doing some money shuffling.

eBay is doing so badly. Not a single bid!

We did pretty well this week considering what we have bought and not used. £67.72 in all household expenditure. Bf and I both take £10 a week pocket money. The idea is that the change comes back to the pot but bf forgot last night so I will let him off this week as I didn't spend any of mine. So £77.72 total spends which means £57.28 left of £135 to go in the pot plus the rest of my wages. :j.

Am only putting savings into Santander once they reach a £500 chunk (it's just easier to say we must not go below £5k than trying to remember odd pennies) so until then they go into my evil barclays account to reduce the interest on the od. Have decided I will not transfer until I have £550 in total. Then it's £500 for the pot and £50 for the od and I can start again.

Probably sounds a complicated crazy system to anyone else but it works out for me :D
