Congratulations, hope it went well :T
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Thank you everyone, it was lovely, and exactly as I wanted. Can't believe it's been over a month already!

Since then, been busy with exams and getting ready for US. Exams went okay, better than I expected... until I saw my results. One of my modules was 2 grades lower than my worst estimate, was upset, went into uni on the day they came out to find out what had happened, turns out a third of my exam paper hasn't been marked! So now need to wait for it to get remarked...

Still not fully organised for US, feel like I'm missing loads of things off of my list. Been spending so much money recently, had no summer clothes!

Weight loss - now -41.6lb (~19kg), down around 3 dress sizes. Still a long way to go, but getting there :) Excited for US on that side too, there is a pool and gym in my accommodation!

Scared and nervous, but determined to not be too shy.

MSE - OPs are still going along, half of target for year so right on target. Spending needs to be reigned in however!
  • Good thing you went to enquire about that grade - otherwise they might never have noticed!!!

I know, right?! Scary thought. I hope he double checked them all after that.

Was too impatient to wait, emailed away and the professor replied with my new grade... 85%. So a whole 20% increase from one missing 25 mark question!

So grades this semester: 90%, 85% and 85%, that's more like it :D

I will be on the flight in less than 36 hours.... _pale_

Tomorrow I'm going to the gym with my trainer, first time I get to move onto my new passion, weights. Very excited :)
  • Wow - well done on your great grades! Can't do smilies at the moment otherwise I would put up lots of the jumping jack ones!

Have a great time in Florida! You totally deserve it after everything you've achieved.

Thanks :) Never been to USA before, not sure what to expect. And 10 hour flight, bad airplane food, yay ;)

You would have loved my gym session today HDK, onto my third 'fitness path' session and loving it. £13 for a 6 week exercise and nutrition plan, and the guy I've got is genuinely interested in my progress, we swap emails back and forth about questions, meeting goals etc. Finally been allowed to move on to the big boy weights :D

Not sure how early to go. Have been completely disorganised, and only just finished packing. Had minor flake out when suitcase wouldn't close, but according to website you can have 2 items of hand luggage, so have packed some tops into a bag to make room.

Need to sleep now, have to leave house around 6.30am _pale_

Oh dear, been a while, eh?

I've been so ridiculously busy I haven't even read any threads in months.
    Quick updates:

    - America was amazing. The job was incredible, I enjoyed it so much, and considering USA wasn't somewhere I'd been fussed about before, wow it blew everything out the water.
    - Mortgage overpayments still ongoing as normal.
    - Spending otherwise a little higher than wanted but pretty normal
    - Last year of university half way through... and I have a graduate job!
    - Went for interview, wasn't that fussed about it but then they made me an offer I couldn't refuse, they are sponsoring me for the last 6 months at uni (i.e. paying me!) and they offered me a wage 2k above what I asked for, and way above what I'm going to get anywhere else. Don't have to pay anything back if I leave after 14 months, so even if it doesn't end up as long-term thing it's good money and experience to start with. So little stress lifted off :) There's no conditions for minimum grades etc so, yay!

Can't think of what else since it's been so long!

Off to update signature and challenges like MFW and read some blogs. Missed you guys!
