Hope everyone had a great Christmas and general holidays! We ran around visiting and delivering presents so I couldn't be bothered cooking proper Christmas dinner when we got back, we had a very festive kebab
Had the proper dinner last night, so good. Don't you find it weird how people do things differently, for all that everyone has a general 'Christmas dinner' in mind? Or just me? For example, in my family, it's beef gravy, stuffing has sausagemeat in it, and carrots are a must, in my OH's they have bread sauce instead () and parsnips and stuffing is just stuffing! At least there are chipolatas for all :xmassmile
I'll post a proper MS post nearer to the time (and 'cause I'm having a lazy weekend) but next year should be interesting.
I've managed to convince the OH that we should go on honeymoonWhere I would spend on holidays, he sees no problem spending on gadgets. On the other hand, we both hate spending money XD
In the past few years we've been to Paris and Norway, but always as a weekend trip with only one full day in each place, mostly because of how stingy I am :rotfl: I love holidays, and travel is my number 1 thing I want to do in life, but I still feel guilty spending when I feel money should be going to other things.
Well this time, we are having a proper holiday. We are going to JAPAN. I've wanted to go for over 10 years, I am obsessed with this place. We are going for a full 10 days, something we've never done before. I figured since I'm graduating uni and getting this sponsorship money as extra and getting a decent wage (and you all know me, I will be investing and saving and OPing and trying to figure out pensions) well, it's spending time.
Obviously I'm still going to make the most of my money. We won't be going til end of May/June but I am already SO EXCITED. Going to have to tone it down or I'll blow up :j:j0 -
Japan sounds a wonderful honeymoon treatMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0
