I'm pretty sure all of your MfW chums will not be surprised :)

    Well done Cal.

    Best wishes Tilly x x

    Aw :o Thanks Tilly x
Wonderful news - is that one of the furrin' ones? :rotfl:

Thanks :D It is, Florida one. Which will mean awkward Skype interview. My biggest fear if I do get it is that I'll melt!

I have an interview for my number 1 choice _pale_
:rotfl: Ha ha, that'll teach you to apply for it :rotfl:

Hope it goes well, you sound well clever, am sure you'll rock it :T.

Someone at work wanted to retire early, back to her homeland. Finally plucked up courage to ask her hubby and he said yes . Now they've sold the house and are ready to move and she's 'bricking it' :D.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

I know :rotfl: I am bricking it! I like the internship description, I feel I could do the job well but I'm not very good at meeting new people, and especially not good at interviews! So we'll see.

Thanks, hope it goes well too! :o

Would you consider a session with an interview/career coach of some kind? Interview for a job in 'Merica is probably worth the investment :)

Very proud of you - is OH excited for you or nervous that you might get to eat all the tasty junk food before he gets to the US? :rotfl:
  • Good luck, Calfuray!

& great idea Ed on investing in some interview coaching, I'm not great at interviews/meeting new people either... might borrow that advice! ;)
a penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. The conditions are always impossible | The only thing you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library

I was thinking that, there's a career centre in uni that I might contact. Of course, my fear of meeting new people also includes meeting new people at the career centre :rotfl: I'm a lot better than I used to be though, honest!

    Thanks :D

OH. Ever heard the phrase 'laid-back'? He's so laid-back he's horizontal. He probably would have coined the phrase laid-back, except he's so laid-back he would have just waited for someone else to do it. :rotfl:
Okay, now I'm being a bit mean. It takes a lot for him to show emotion, so I honestly couldn't tell you what he thinks. He's been to America before though, so I'm the one who'll have to catch up on the junk food!

Thanks to SS, Karmacat and Pearla, and all my silent thankers, toerag, Fortune etc :)
  • Congratulations on the first choice interview, I don't think it was ever in doubt! :)
