Hi Calfuray,
My sister does a costco shop for us, loo rolls are good value (40 decent ones for £11) beans, tin toms that kind of thing, not as cheap as supermarket vale brands but better quality for lower price than supermarkets IYSWIM?
Also microwave rice veetee type stuff, I'm rubbish at cooking rice so cheat with this, 6 packs usually £3 something.
My sister and I compare and often split and swap things in the order, she'll buy 6 pilau rice and 6 basmati then I'll have 3 of each off of her, works well so you get a variety. Small car may be an issue, last time sister went she ended up buying 320 loo rolls!:eek:0 -

She's not called Tilly is she :cool:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Hi Calfuray,
I have a bookers card and that's really good for buying bulk. I buy things like Passata, tinned tomatoes, etc. a lot of it is "Happy Shopper" and it's the stuff that you find in my corner shop. The mark up the shop puts on is outrageous. No wonder they do so well!!

Thanks toerag, Thistlewhistle, GG, Vicky and Alchemilla
Went to C0stC0 and did indeed get 45 loo rolls :L
Ikea too- although I only bought some cheap tupperware, it was probably not a good idea, I'm really itchy to redecorate! Still paying off loan for bathroom though so need to chill
Saw a gorgeeeeeee wall light thingy though. Want!
Need to update my sig for OPs too, and make sure bank matches up to spreadsheet.
Looking at MFW though, I have paid over 50% of my new upgraded target, and in total my OPs since January have been nearly one month's pay, so I've OPed nearly 33% of my wages so far! :T
I need to remember that when I wish I had more money!0 -
I miss ikea. One coming near us in a year or two.0

I did think about you on Saturday when I was at costco! Glad to say we avoided IKEA.

Well, as of today, my mortgage has officially broken the £56k mark, we are now at £55,906.60!
:T
However, interest will take it back up in just over two weeks' time, so mini-target for this month is to overpay another £75 so that it doesn't creep back up
So far: £7.34 that was a left over credit on cancelled $ky account and taking cash bags to bank tomorrow, roughly £30. By not having coffees at uni, I should easily achieve the rest of this along with TTs made my partner.0 -
Congratulations Cal:T You've done fantastically well!February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)
MND - Let's go for 2020 'cos it's got a nice ring to it:D
