Same risks as using a proxy - ie You CAN be traced - unlikely I agree but there's no escaping the long arm of the US.....

nothing to do with ripa or isp records, read the first post properly

if the op has dynamic ip address which can be checked by rebooting the router and going to www.ipchicken.com, clean cookies with ccleaner, and have geolocation turned off, they won't know, all they will see is a random ip address. There are a few other ways of tracing, but a gambling site probably don't use them - blocking scripts with ghostery/noscript may also help, as would the mvps host file

in the case of 9/11, the US would have done everything possible to trace the miscreants !!
    Say no more.
I am not sure a bookmakers would go to such extremes to track someone.

OP you could easily pop into any library or internet caf'e to set up a new account with the bookmakers, or alternatively you could set it up at a friends house. Once up and running, you should have no problem using it.

Even if you disguise your ip, most web browsers and the person setup makes them unique. Try this

    https://panopticlick.eff.org

The problem with all of these is the ability to capture user identifier information like account and password details.

Now with TOR, if one keeps their id secret and banking secret (don't talk about auntie Mable and a1991 VW etc.) you can be anonymous. to the point that people have set up services selling nefarious items like mentioned below. To have the nuts to offer a world wide service like this below, not to mention other services offered on wiki, well one must have confidence in the security of TOR.

But when I log in to bet the following day, won't they then see where I am?

what exactly have you done to the booksellers to think they will immediately block your ip address or go out of their way to track it to you?!?

You don't need to make a huge profit from an online bookmaker before they decide to shut your account.

This has happened to me several times recently and on one occasion I opened a new account in my brother's name using his name, address and bank details and the account was closed down before my first bet had even run! The only common denominator was the pc I used to open the account so I assume it was my ip address being flagged up in some way.
