I think that woman has a very special place booked for her on the other side... - I just hope she's good at stoking fires, that's all ;)

I think the miners ought to be allowed to bury her.
Do we have any deep mines left now?
    Normal people worry me.

Oh yes we have the mines left, and all the out of work miners and jobless in the area can look out of their windows in despair and see the industry that would have kept their communities alive. Sorry, Im sad for her family but have read, seen and heard so much about the destruction she caused. the poll tax in particular caused me personally a lot of grief. Im not usually political unless I know what Im talking about. if I have upset anyone feel free to pm me rather than cause problems on the site hugs ginny

Random question, has anyone here been through a divorce as a respondent? Looking for some advice!

    Hi Mary :)

My ex started the divorce over a year ago (was 'desperate' to get it done, in his words) and the nisi was issued 12 months ago.

I've rung the courts and it appears he's made no attempt to apply for the absaloute and the lady I spoke to advised I can apply for it myself now.

Is the judge likely to go through with it though and grant it? I don't want to have to pay the fee's for him to say no and for this to continue dragging on.

I have contacted my ex to ask if there is any reason he's not done it, but non surprisingly no reply.
  • Evening Toughies, thank you all for the lovely messages about Pushkin, he is sooooooo naughty and composed in equal parts of really soft cuddly fur and sharp bits!!!!! ask me how I know? I am apparently a climbing frame and the best place to sleep in the world all at the same time. The Dockling hasn't met him as he is DD1s baby and I am certain that our boy would react to him as only lurchers can when faced with felines - and his little legs wouldn't be fast enough, so we'll keep them apart until the kitten has grown up. I've been looking after DD as she has been poorly for a while so I took over for a week to give her a rest and get used to the kitten. It's nice to be home again and hopefully back to normal routine. He Who Knows and the Docky Dog came to meet me from the station this afternoon, it was a lovely welcome as the Docky Dog dashed past me and jumped on the lady in the queue behind me!!!!!!! Never mind, he's pleased to have me back I'm sure.

FUDDLE I hope you are feeling better now and that the antibiotics have started to work and make your throat better, be well little one, Cheers Lyn xxx.

    Evening everyone,

I have similar feelings about Thatcher - but sorry for her family and maybe being a hyprocrite but I am fine with her dying peacefully. However I feel nothing but hatred towards her evil policies. The lives she wrecked and permanent damage caused. I am angry about the money they are wasting on her grand funeral but not surprised in the least. I apologise in advance if my post upsets anyone.

Peanut - the suggestion about buying new loose tops is excellent. Do you need (or fancy) new bag, shoes, costume jewellry/scarf/accesories to jazz up outfits or new toiletries/perfume/make-up/polish or a haircut? Or something for a hobby maybe? Depends what you like really!

Managed to get out today to a play centre - really lovely to see some friends especially one I haven't seen for ages. Feel really cheery. DS8 had to sit out a lot with his DS (console), he was glad to get out but absolutely shattered now and looks very peaky and won't eat any dinner poor love. We have our family willow workshop tomorrow, will have to see how he is then.

DH just walked in, he has been poorly at work all day. We just seem to pass bugs round and round. Haven't cooked our dinner as was expecting DH to call for a lift from the station. Off to rustle up something quick and easy.

Hi SQ - I've seen a ring I've been eyeing up for a while but could afford it. It's 3 interlocked bands which can be stamped. I'd have my name, my OHs name and LOs name :) My little family.

But a haircut now that is a good idea! I rarely get it coloured as I just can't afford it :)
