I still have my AD's for at least 6 months, now possibly statins too but the side effects are making me doubt taking them but the suggestion is switch to a different one but always the lowest dose possible.
Before I start may contact my consultant as the drug may help my heart and cholesterol but could make my kidney disease worse...decisions, decisions..."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Hi all and hi Pops.. I would ask your consultant's advice as well. My friend's late husband had Parkinson's along with other conditions; it was such a balancing act as what was best for one thing would trigger a problem elsewhere.
Have to say what a GORGEOUS cat Pushkin is, Lyn... Lurchers are, of course, not the Best Mixers with C.A.T.S. but as Docky does not appear to have read the Lurcher Manual, hopefully all will be well.
Sorry that so many are having trouble with family. Ours doesn't tend to do hassle, we are a small and tight-knit bunch. My sis does have her quirks and I'm sure she'd tell you that I have mine...!
Quite a busyish w'end, shopping, cooking, housework, watching the National...
Very relieved that no horses or jockeys were hurt, though equally relieved that winning jockey Ryan Mania's injuries from an evil fall today were far less severe than anticipated. As has been said, in what other job are you followed by an ambulance when you go to work?
I treated myself to a lemon slice earlier, having spotted one in Pops' trolley at Mr T's. Norty, but nice! Decent multibuys to enable good use of a £5 voucher, plus my favourite coffee (Carte Noire decaf) on offer and favourite tea (Yorkshire Gold) with 80 for the price of 40. I get such pleasure from these brands that they really are worth the extra; that's about the only brand loyalty I have.
Did my tax return online a bit earlier, the website having crashed on Friday. I'm owed a substantial sum in tax credits, but can't help wondering what loophole will be used to prevent them being paid to me. I was entitled to them when I worked for British Forces abroad, but never got them.
However, I have enough to manage on and to afford treats like the tea and coffee.
Not enough for a holiday abroad or a car, but I lived abroad for years and parking round our way is a nightmare. Not only that, but I never have to carry bags far to load up the trike and can always take advantage of weighty bargains.
I did treat myself to some books from the B*ok People, amongst them The Garden Cottage Diaries - what a great read, and £7 cheaper than on Am@zon. Almost finished it... in just a day!Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Thank You...always good to see you:)had a good Sunday. Slept well and though awake now(just had a mug of tea)still feeling upbeat.
Enjoy your treat:D
Perhaps my talk of visiting the seaside(where that idea came from who knows)has given me something to look forward to...now just need the weather to make it happen.
Yes those tablet help cholesterol and the heart but can in wrong dose cause more problems(Catch 22 situation)
So I can leave it until I see the consultant again in July(phone him or write a letter)I have managed until now and have been like this for years.
The Dr said diet hasn't much to do with my situation anyhow and as eat mainly good things even the odd treat works for me:p
Well, I have to say the house is warmer(for now)even with the heating off and I was so warm in bed I took some things off:obut Aldi's have a thinkish mattress protector and with that on the mattress then a sheet that will give extra warmth and with the fleece throws/duvet over me that should work and I have hot water bottles too.
And lets hope it will be warmer soon anyhow..."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Morning toughies, came home from work Saturday totally exhausted and then a migraine came on. OH made me go to bed and I woke yesterday at 9am after 12 hours sleep. We had a lazy hour just sat talking and then we decided to go to the seaside. OH drove, and we went to Skegness.
Was nice in the shade, but very windy at times. We had a few hours just people watching, shared a bag of chips and then came home.
Late last night we were telephoned to say OH uncle had passed away, he lives alone in London and the police had broken into his flat as no one could contact him. MIL rang me at 6am this morning to say that they are now investigating when he died and how. I now have the job of contacting OH and passing the news on.
Well must get dressed, dentist at 8 am!!!!!!!! Just a check up I hope.BSC member 137

Morning NuttyP,
Glad you feel better and yesterday was so nice but ended sadly. Hope in this situation it is straight forward and was quick for your OH's Uncle.

Morning everyone,
lovely puddy cat Mrs LW, absolutely beautiful.
Glad you had a nice day out yesterday nutty. Sorry to hear about your OH's uncle. Hugs coming your way.
Hugs kezlou, hope the appointment goes well today. keep us posted with how you're doing love.
After a quiet week last week have planned to see friends and their children today. Eldest son was poorly yesterday so waiting to see how he is this morning. Both unusually still in bed. Really hope we can go both for kids' sake and mine and also one of my friends wants a chat, I think she has just started divorce proceedings so not an easy time for her.
Better get some breakfast and sort the cats theirs
take care everyone

Ryan Mania comes from my local town, they were saying the bookies would go bust as the whole town bet on his horse
Thankfully they're saying he's ok after yesterday's fall. I'm not keen on horses at all -too big. I prefer wee things like cats rats & ferrets.
I've never had depression thank god but I do know what a bloody fight it is sometimes to stay cheerful and positive. If the weather would warm up then it would be a whole different world. We've got light snow again and the ground is still iron hard, no gardening.0 -
:smileyhea I want Pushkin and I want him now. Beyond adorable, will you look at those paws.
Glad to see you back Mrs LW; your prepper pals you-know-where have been fretting you absence.
Goshdarnit, I suppose I should wash the dishes or they'll still be here after work.

Well toughies here's a different dilemma for you!
I have been truly spoilt rotten by my family for my birthday and they have all said 'treat yourself'. I haven't had money to treat myself for so long I don't know what to do with it!
I could do with some new clothes but I'm still not back into Pre pregnancy size so feel it would be a bit of a waste of money.
OH has told me I am not to spend it on LO and def not on the house. Lol.
I've got so used to managing I don't know what to do when I can treat!0
