7up - ((hugs)) and I dont want to sound alarmist but please get your daughter seen again - my cousin had a similar thing last year and eventually they realised it was ectopic - she was incredibly ill with it.

Thank you for for all your dentist support too - I am so much better today, and definitely less down :)

Molly, you are right, it is amazing, the most joyous 'Ode To Joy' ever. I loved it and have just favourited it.
DS has just texted "please don't cook me any tea" in time for me to actually not do any (rather than the usual form). Instead of pork steak, mustard mash and veggies, I will now enjoy a nice light shellfish salad and the steaks will go in the freezer for next week.
Got a massive YS chook from Mr T's. This one was nearly £12 before reductions, barn raised and quite big, but nothing special really - not true free range or corn fed or anything. No wonder Sunday roasts have dropped so far out of favour. It will stay in the freezer until late Sat evening, for Easter Sunday's big meal.
I also bought DS Paul Hollywood's "Bread" as DS's Easter egg. (Anyone else think it rather nice that a Scouser should emerge as the nation's Bread Expert?) :D . DS is quite a fan of the Silver Fox of Foccacia, as am I .

Amazon Vine again tonight - it's a free for all for all 860 ish members and without a superfast broadband I nearly always miss out on the really good stuff. But I shall enjoy diving in to see what I can get. I cannot complain after my gorgeous steam generator iron arrived on my 'just for me' newsletter last week.

Just popped in for a break from magazine writing. Molly, that video clip was wonderful. A bit like the 'flashmob'.
In one school I taught at they had a school orchestra - of under 11s and amzingly good. The Music master decided to teach them Ode to Joy to play at the Harvest Festival.

"Now," he said to the assembled players, "we are learning a new piece today, it's called Ode to Joy."
Small girl waves her hand frantically at the back.
    "Yes, what is it Olivia?"
"Please Sir, we have to call her Mrs C****"
And from then on it was always known as 'Ode to Mrs C****'
    I was quite proud.

Good heavens! Has the world ended and no-one told me? I can't believe that I was the last one to post yesterday and the first one this morning.
Sun blazing in a blue sky here and it looks suspiciously springlike.
No I didn't finish my work last night, the 'puter was freezing, not responding and generally playing silly bu&&ers so I went to bed instead. Hence the early start.

Have a Very Happy Easter everybody

Morning toughies, this is a very rare and treasured moment, my alarm went off for school but of course there is no school, the kids are all still fast asleep and so I have a small window of silence.
Its been so busy here that simply just sitting is rare.

I managed a trip to CostC@ last night and M@kro too - I am finding more and more that it is just so much cheaper to buy there than in normal shops and the price reductions are better too. :)

I got a turkey butterfly again - £20 and it will be cut up into at least four big roast pieces, if I cut them up into the sizes sold in supermarkets I would make at least eight.
I then managed to get a lovely piece of beef reduced to £8 - this will make three good sized pieces today as well.

Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend

Happy Easter and hope everyone has a lovely unstressful time.

So excited as we will have all four dds home for the weekend. Older dd should arrive around 3 and be here till Monday and youngest has been back from uni since Sunday.

Need to do a tidy round , make up spare bed etc and maybe go to butcher for a family pack of meat but as it is likely to be very busy will consider managing on what we already have for the next few days rather than queue.

Everyone loved my experiment of butternut squash soup a few days ago so as I managed to get a couple of BNS yesterday and sweet potatoes and have red pepper in fridge - will make a huge pot of soup and home made bread for a late lunch. Tonight we are planning on A**i salmon Wellington with stir fry veg and mash and dds have baked a cake.

So pleased about the job news :j

Well done on braving the dentist and I promise that root canal and a crown is not as bad as it sounds. Good luck with the dentist and family and take care of yourself.

    Hugs to all :)

Morning all and thank you for letting me moan. I feel more positive today - probably because i went to brownies last night and for a change there were no text messages from the children monaing about each other and tonight i get to go out for an adult only meal with friends. Only £20 and no travel as my friend very kindly picks me up and drops me off. Oh yes - the sun is shining too! That always helps.
Kidcat, they said at the hospital that it wasnt an ectopic pregnancy as there were no pregnancy hormones in her blood test results. I am keeping an eye on her though. She is my baby and i cant stop worrying about her.
