Morning Toughies, another cold and grey one today but on the plus side it isn't raining! The BBC said this morning the high street is really feeling the pinch as due to the cold weather and spiraling utilities costs most folks haven't been buying this years spring and summer fashions that have been in the shops since February, they were suggesting sales were imminent, so DD1 and I are off to town this morning to see if any bargains are to be found.
FUDDLE it's one of the known hazzards of working with kiddlers pet, you get everything that is going for the first couple of months and after that you should be mostly immune. Look after yourself and leave the house to look after itself for a couplke of days. the dust will still be there for you to sort when you feel better, Cheers Lyn xxx.0 -
Morning Mrs L, happy easter to all who celebrate it. I've been a wee bit down again with this everlasting bl**dy winter, hanging on by my wee toenails here waiting for some warmth. Was sunny and blue skies yesterday, snow makes it all dazzling and bright - but so cold. I just want out into my garden AND I WANTIT NOW :mad:0

We got in the garden yesterday, dressed in arctic gear:D then it snowed  Im still hoping for spring, I have to after all the work Ive put into the damned veggie planning. There are a lot of hungry birds out there, they are eating us out of house and home. Amazingly we had a kestrel on the fence the other day, quite beautiful, hopefully it will keep the bl**dy pigeons at bay that the neighbours feed
:EasterBun:EasterBun Hope everyone is keeping warm and peaceful this Easter.
Just been to the market next to MR T and the carpark is nearly full. Happy to report the market is really thriving though the 2 charity shops are feeling the pinch. They seem to be selling a lot of pre cooked chickens, hams and various snack items, Im guessing people are saving on fuel. Apparently my favourite stall has had to stop selling chunks of cheese as they now have to label it with every detail including its inside leg measurement and would have to employ another body just to keep up with it so bang goes my cheeseboard.Clearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0 -
Hi toughies, ginnyknit typical someone moans and then the plug is pulled. TBH surely if they had a sign next to cheese with all the info on while its on sale, shouldn't that be enough. Typical nanny state we live in. Our local butcher in the village says they are busier than ever. They have just started a mini veg section, eggs and some homemade biscuits and fruit pies. We are lucky as we also have a mini shop and post office. Something a lot of the rural villages have lost a long time ago.

Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
hi everyone Fuddle sorry to hear you are feeling unwell. Take good care of yourself and keep warm love. I am so happy for you that you got the job, by the way.
I have two loads of washing out on the line, very very cold here but sunshine too. Going through my cupbards and freezer to check what we have there. The price of food is rising, and getting serious by the day. Take care everyone and have a nice weekend. Margaret xDo a little kindness every day.;)0 -
