I've been VERY busy with work, whoopee, as work = extra cash, and Cheltenham, of course. That's the horse racing, naturally,
FUDDLE, WELL DONE, ATTAGIRL.
Pops, thanx for email, will look in to that when I have 5 mins.
Re the bus pass, Pops. The pic will have almost certainly been taken at the council offices (prob. Spenny) and have been on the old pass - which she may have mislaid, if you never saw it.
On the plus side you now have a lovely pic of your Mum that you didn't know existed, plus it's small enough to keep in your wallet, whilst as it's on a plastic card, this means that won't fade easily. I call that a result. Sorry you are still waiting for your pass. Mine is slightly damaged but I won't replace it until the March rush has passed, it will take ages. I need a new pic taken for it as well, mine wore off.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Can I pick your collective creative culinary brains?
I have some slightly OOD bread flour with seeds and grains in. I used some of it to make flour tortillas the other week, which were OK, but the bought ones are better and have got much cheaper to buy.
So, any other suggestions as to what to do with sunflower - seedy flour? We eat anything. I don't want to do the obvious thing and make boring bread, I want to do something more exciting with it... sweet or savoury, not bothered!Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Hopefully Pink or one of the board guides can help with adjusting this first page.0

Morning all,
Woke up early this morning feeling really nervous. My training course for the volunteer parent support course starts this morning. Always anxious with new faces and having to introduce myself as you always do on these things. Will probably come out on a high but that doesn't help right now! Will try and remember my mantra "I can do it, I can do it". Just want the first session out of the way! Wish me luck everyone.
Hope everyone has a good day today. Sending positive vibes to you all.

McCulloch the Hairy Dieters cookbook has some nice-looking recipes for pies which use bread dough as pie crust. You'd just need to adapt the recipe slightly. http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/low-fat_minced_beef_and_344230

morning.... SQ you CAN do it!!!!!
Mccolough glad your now busy working. CHeltenham has been a busy one here too, some real outsiders taking the glory. I sometime wish i had a pound on certain horse's but company policy means we aren't allowed to bet. Its a good thing in one way.
Theres a lot of things going in the press reguarding betting shops and gaming machines. We see both sides of the argument. But the thing is they havent even mentioned casino's where you can spend even more. Online gambling is even worse, no one bothers to regulate what is spent etc unlike the betting shops. There is always someone trying to help the nanny state. Sorry rant over, just annoyed can no one let people be?
The sun has just started to peep over the fence, not sure what we will end up with. The weatherman said rain on the tv, but it looks ok so far.
Of for a shower, and then jobs to do......BSC member 137

Peanut2013 wrote: »So would the software on the link be any good to me or do I need to source snow Leppard? The mac I have access to is very very old, a MacBook G4. We don't have an apple shop here but do have a storm front, I could always ask them if they have the older software?
I'm unsure how to make a bootable bit of software onto the USB stick as I imagine what I download from the apple website would be a DMG? What do I do with it then?
Regards using my existing external drive, does it need to go internal or can I just use it externally for now? I'm happy to have it plugged in every time I use the computer if I need to.
Sorry Peanut, I can't find the link you reference, could you repost it and I'll take a look.
This page has a good walkthrough for setting up Lion on a USB drive which you can then use for installing to your external drive. The basic process should be very similar for any version of Mac OS (10.4.x or later). I'd suggested Snow Leopard because it was cheaply and easily available on disk from Apple and that installing from disk was the simplest option. The Apple Store I've referred to is the online shop.
You can use an external drive as a boot device, this explains the process.

I make a range of empanada using bread dough. They are basically pasties, and just about any filling will work. My favourites are feta peppers and onions, or spinach and walnut as savouries and spiced apple puree as a sweet. (If these appeal, I'm happy to post the recipes) just roll out bread dough into a circle, add filling and fold and crimp as you would a pasty.0 -
Ah, there's a thought. Thanks Nuatha.
Being of Eastern European extraction, I make Estonian pirukas (aka. peroshkas or perogies) which are basically the same thing. I have a standard bacon and onion / white dough recipe that I won't mess with, but some alternative fillings could be interesting.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again...
