I'm currently trying to rev myself up for work too. I'm dosed up to the eyeballs and should be able to manage the drive in at least, no idea how the shift will go though, could be a fun one!
Hope your table shifts for a good price - we have a cheapo Ik-a one, I love it and want to cover it with maps so it will be more interesting. It's very, very basic, but does the trick! Cheapo chairs to match.0 -
Bexim i love the said swedish firm. We have a lot of their furniture already the bedroom and living room furniture is. I will have to wait to get the replacement table and chairs tho.
Right off to work hope everyone feels better/ happier.BSC member 137

This house would be unbearable with bare floors, I have fitted good wool carpets everywhere but kitchen and loo. We Vax the whole house when we can be a$$ed.
I'm wondering if I should get a patio-type area done out the back, as we might not be able to afford to go away anywhere in future...maybe your back garden could be your own little world. Haven't a clue how much money we're talking though - will probly be out of the question.0 -
Mar, most things I look into the price of seem to come in at the ' you've got to be kidding me right?' estimate.

Good idea Mar. I'd like to build a sun room on the back of my house - just a wee one - no idea how much it may cost but unless i'm at work I spend more and more time at home these days
I have a wee porch on the front that looks out over the bay - its a real sun-catcher and i sit and knit and watch the world go by - I love it!0 -
Seems lighter here this tea time and the snow has all gone now. I was certainly ready for that. I was spring weather every day!
We've been having easy teas since Mothers Day when I did a cold buffet (sounds grand ha ha but lots of easy things). I can't believe how easy it's been. I should do this every Sunday as it makes it easier when I come in from work. I took some flexi time today and left at 4 so I've had a mug of tea, some crackers and a lovely browse on here...and it's only 5.20. Yippee!!
Mardatha - what about looking for patio type stuff on Gumtree? Is it possible that anyone would put out paving slabs, wooden trellis bits or anything?

MAR do you have a FREECYCLE group in your area?you'd be surprised what gets offered on there and also what folks want that you have no earthly use for. If you do it might be worth joining (if you aren't already members) and asking if anyone has paving slabs they aren't needing any longer. Even previously used bricks would make a lovely patio and be quite easy to lay and people are grateful to not have to dispose of things themselves, free stuff from grateful people is as good as it gets, Cheers Lyn xxx.0

You can get them from the UK Apple store .
Snow leopard is the latest version you can get disks for (you can upgrade it to the latest version via the app store). Assuming your Mac is recent enough (Intel processor and 1GB RAM) then it will run this version, it may be more recent than the version on your original hard drive, but it will read previous versions.
The usual white screen cause is a corrupted boot sector, if that's the case then getting back up and running is fairly straightforward.
Remove hard drive, set boot sequence to boot from CD first (or USB if you get that media) fit new hard drive, inset disk into drive, boot machine, install OS. Put old drive into a caddy and see if you can find your files. Copy them to the new hard drive, back them up twice (different media)
Any queries you can PM me, this may be considered off topic for the thread. (I'm not a Mac guy, but do tech support for 'nix and MS systems.
