    My fault, too emotional again.

I've been digging and found the dog walkers do a 15 minute walk. I know that isn't ideal, and still depends on the costs involved, but if he can at least get that at some point during the day and his two long walks/run offs morning and evening, that will be ok don't you think?

I know it's not ideal, I know but I'm trying to solve it. I don't want to lose Alfie and breaks my heart that other owners might not be so forgiving because he is hard work but that's down to his anxiety.

I've emailed them anyway, I await a reply.

Please don't fall out. The subject of pet welfare is a hot potato and I should never have mentioned it here. I forget I'm not just amongst friends who know I'm a half decent person. Molly was spot on with her posts, I just didn't want to hear it. Thanks for having my back cutest.

Lyn, I feel selfish not selfless. I can't believe I have dare admitted to a thread full of dog lovers that I might have to give up my dog, or dare say he'll be alone for hours.

    Poor dog:(

I'm always sad when I have to make choices where there is no good answer. I wish there was a life option where I could tick' none of the above'.

I remember my awful distress when I got divorced and was left with two dogs it was impossible for me to take with me.

It was painful to re-home them, but I had to do what was best for me at the time. I had to just get on with it, no matter how I felt about it.

    Sometimes life sucks.
  • FUDDLE not in the least bit selfish, you are looking for the best for Alfie, how can that be selfish? He is your boy, I'm a besotted dog lover and I honour you for trying to find the best solution and if needs be letting him go for his own well being. I hope with all my heart that he can stay with you, a 15 minute walk at lunch time is perfectly acceptable. I worked full time when we had our old terrier and he had a 30 minute walk before I went, 15 minutes at lunch time along with his dinner and 30 minutes when I came home in the evening , where is the cruelty in that? He had us all at the weekends and we made sure he had lots of love and attention when we were at home. Don't you fret, you are amongst friends here and we know what a good person you are, Cheers Lyn xxx.

Morning everyone, Fuddle please dont worry. the fact you have contacted the dogs trust re him being on his own says a lot. You ARE putting his needs first and you are a responsible person by thinking this way. When we had MR BEN he was often on his own, but my mum popped in or a friend did at lunch time. we left the radio on so it wasnt too quiet for him. he had a lovely bed in the lounge but he use to sneak upstairs and lay on the girls bed to sleep in the sunshine. many a time we would get home and find him asleep on someone's bed.

Your going to be one very busy mummy soon and your girls will appreciate the time you have together. The extra money will be a welcome addition too. Dont forget to sort out the tax credits for money towards the childcare costs. Maybe your OH work does the scheme where you buy childcare vouchers before tax, so you save even more money. Sorry i dont know the name of the scheme but im sure someone will be along who does.

Take care hunny, it always works out OK in the end.

have done the grocery shop this morning, MR S got my business this week purley as someone gave me a £6 voucher. Next week who knows.......

    Right washing needs pegging out.

Hope everyone else is managing ok, peanut hope the mac isnt terminal.

    Afternoon all,
goodness Mrs LW you got a lot done bt 9.15! Have a lovely time at DDs.

Pops - hope you feel better today?

Silvasava - hope you hear some news soon

    Peanut fingers crossed

Hugs to anyone who wants them - on BOGOF today!

Feeling a bit jaded today so went into town after school run. Ravenous even after breakfast as didn't eat properly last night. Cafe doing a cooked breakfast deal today for £2.10 so had a big veggie breakfast and a milky coffee. What a lovely treat it was.

Bagged a few bargains in a couple of charity shops. Two pairs of smart trousers for £1 each and 2 cotton workshirts for DH for £1 each as well. A gorgeous long summer dress, posh enough to wear for a summer do (not that I have any invites but still), didn't expect it to fit but it was perfect. Then to top it all a beautiful purple, leather handbag, tags still attached for £4. It looks expensive but I don't recognise the name so off to google it next. The morning really cheered me up. :D

Back home to tidy the morning chaos and prep dinner and play on here a little before school run.

    sq:)

Afternoon toughies, hugs to you all, too.

SQ, I've been feeling like that for days, too, sleeping very poorly and so tired I could cry. However, I have made a cake from the bargainous book I treated myself to yesterday, smells divine, and hope I can get it to friend's house tonight without the man-shaped mice nibbling it! :rotfl:

It's been sunny and dry, but I didn't get my aris in gear to get washing done and out, bet it rains tomorrow now!

    A xo

I wish my local charity shops ever had anything nice. I'm in one of the towns with hundreds of them, and even if I go in all of them, there's rarely anything in there I'd actually want to buy :(

Would love a BOGOF hug too sq - ta! I'll wear my special hug biohazard suit so you don't get the lurgy I've finally succumbed to (all of my workmates have had it - only a matter of time!).

Today has been interesting - after my best intentions of being positive last night, OH and I managed to have a complete freak out over pennies, ended in us both sobbing and me relying on lovely nytol to get to sleep. As a result I woke up feeling hungover on top of the lurgy, but there has been some more upbeat stuff coming from OH, so that's good. I feel mentally better than I have for weeks, but physically like pants (probably those massive turkish ones), so while I finally have the mental enthusiasm to get things done which need doing (clearing out car, setting up eb*y sales etc), I'm physically unable to do any of it!

Hope other toughies are enjoying the sunshine today - absolutely gorgeous here, I have such garden envy it's untrue!
