OH just came in covered in mud, he enjoyed himself but shattered.

Kidcat - sounds like you need a well deserved rest too!

I'm on glass 3 of the wine - sadly DH on aniBs and can't help me with the wine- so he's in charge if the kiddlings wake up! Lol! Not that they are likely to after a full day of charming their fans - DD has been trotting around the place in her walker and smiling beautifully. DS has been mostly asleep - but that's pretty normal for him, this is the young man who slept though our wedding, the evening do, the fireworks at centre parcs, his dinner on Wednesday (at CP), and the Panto at CP on the Thurs! And that is just one weeks worth of what he has slept through. He woke up enough to try and crawl out of the door as we were packing up!

Stiltwalker so glad it went well, have been thinking about you on and off all day.

kidcat, you made a fab day for the children, let your cake making friend stew in her own juices and dont let it spoil your success.

DGS went home with daddy earlier as he doesnt sleep well here - to much fun to be had :D He ate all his meals and had a nap. When he woke up I gave him a drink and he said 'thank you' so wonderful to hear him speak. He also climbed up and borrowed my graphics pens  but luckily it was just his OCD wanting to line them up not to actually draw with them - phew. Off to relax and get ready for a very energetic day of buying the papers and sitting reading them with coffee in hand. Dd signed for the new house this morning so now I can breathe a sigh of relief. OH relaxing after being topped up with vitamin drink and meds as his bad leg is getting worse by the day.

Morning all. I am lying in bed craving a cuppa but don't want to get up and make one in case i wake up OH who has had a disturbed night and is in the spare room.

Stiltwalker - well done on your fund raising, what a fantastic achievement
Jem - so sorry for your woes, glad mum could help

I had a loooong day yesterday too, up at the crack to catch a train dahn sarf. Except I had to go oop north for a bit as the trains were all to pot, luckily I wasn't too delayed. I get free first class travel due to OH's job so it does make it all a lot more pleasant let alone cheap! THank god for the free train travel as dad wouldn't get visited half so much. I have taken him a jar of manuka honey for his ulcerated legs to see if that will do what the medical profession can't - I have heard good reports and @ldi sell it quite reasonably priced. Stopped off on the way back for a couple of hours and a coffee with my sister. It meant she could off load some of her marriage woes. Honestly it's like I'm everyone's counsellor - what with Sis, DD's disastrous date, and some stuff at work, I am clearly in the wrong job!

A lazyish day planned - I am hoping for a mother's day soak in the bath, followed by a bit of gardening (gotta plant those raspberries, even if it's just in pots for now), and maybe some knitting - i've got a sleeveless woolly pully to finish before it gets too warm to wear it, not that that looks like happening any time soon.

Made a curry base on Friday that OH turned into some vegetable and some chicken curries yesterday so we'll have a chicken one tonight and the rest for the still not yet defrosted freezer.

I might hoover - then again......
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Happy mothers day to all the ladies on here. OH has rang and woke me up, he is delivering flowers from m n expensives. He has over 80 to deliver, so wont be home until mid afternoon. He's just rang to say someone wont be getting their flowers, no name just a road name and it contains approx 50 houses!!!! Thats one disapointed mum then. You wonder how they can order with such little information.

Eldest DD went into town to celebrate her birthday, other DD babysat her friends 2 yr old. She only did it as said friends boyfriend cant be trusted to look after the little one. Have no idea why she is with him, he wont work, refuses to help her with anything. And to top it all off he asked her if they should try for another child. Madness, and unfortunatly when she asked I told her so. When they were as school I sort of helped keep her out of trouble or at least i tried. I also took her to collage with my DD for 3 years.

Well im off for a well deserved cuppa......

I shall spend today wandering around online, it's called procrastination & I'm an expert at it.
I have a letter I need to write, I need to write it urgently & I haven't even started it.
I'm coming out in stress hives just thinking about it!
Bloody hell woman, get a grip & get on with it!

    morning all,

I have been awake since 7am, first up - couldn't stay in bed for my breaky in bed for 2 hours. DS8 just woke up, very rare for him to have a lie-in, he must have been very tired. Now awaiting my croissants (back in bed) like the Queen.

Plan to do essential tasks only today, a load of laundry, supervise baths and homework and few other bits. Rest of day will chill and spend some time playing board games and lego with my boys as promised.

DH has bought a supermarket curry box (a rare ready meal for us) to share this eve which I am looking forward to. We are having a family lunch - boys favourite chicken fajitas. Boys will grate cheese, wash salad, lay table etc to help me out. DH has an exam Weds (and one following week) so he is excused lunch duties as long as he supervises breaky and eve meal arrangements.

now where is my breakfast tray? one just can't get the staff these days, can one? :rotfl:

Morning all. :) Well it's my first ever Mother's Day and I'm actually slightly excited! Lol.

OH has reported he is on breakfast duty and told me to put my feet up in bed. And then apparently I have presents to look forward to. :)

    Happy Mothers Day all!
