SQ- ((hugs)) I know its hard and has been hard - but as I said to DS14 the other day, all the little things from the past add up to make you the remarkable, special and wonderful person you are today, and we all benefit from that every time you post. Thank you0

I read everyday but don't post but felt I had to send a message to Fuddle.
A Home Care Assistant job is great to have this on your personal statement - my daughter is trying to get into Midwifery so this is how I know - it applies to nursing to. She has worked for a Home Care Agency and found the best way to get into this was to find someone who already worked for them and get the info from them. Home care agencies are always looking for staff as the turnover rate is huge. It is a very demanding, not well paid, long hours etc etc job. (But my daughter loves it!) I see now you have an interview at a nursery so good luck for that. Whatever you decide to do I am sure you will be brilliant at it - good luck0 -
*hugs* Savingqueen.
It seems to me that a lot of us are good people in spite of things that happened when we were younger rather than because of it. I know they say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, but I think having seen some of the stories from people here that we'd have the combined strength of Atlas.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
SQ - squidgey hugs from this end too.
Fuddle - with job hunting you have to hold a bit of yourself in reserve I think and not care too much, have a bit of a 'what will be, will be' attitude. That's the way to cope with it.
Do you think it's too cold outside for baby bunnies? They are 7 weeks old now and they lived in a barn since they were born which will have been cold and draughty no doubt - now they are in a chicken coop so shut in the enclosed bit at night. I just worry a bit as they are so small.
DH is working all weekend so I've booked the kids' club film at Cineworld for the grand sum of £2.70 for the 3 of us on Saturday, and am now very glad I didn't pay lots of money before Christmas to see Rise of the Guardians.
I popped into M&S this morning to get a Mothers' Day card, and was surprised to see lots of quite good YS stuff even at 8.30 in the morning, so ended up with rather more than a card but it will all freeze. I also noticed they are doing their luxury hot cross buns in a mini version - don't quite understand why, but they are more than half the size of the regular but less than half the calories, just 100 cals each. Going to stick some of those in the freezer too for an occasional 100 cal treat.0 -
Morning all!
I hope those who have been poorly feel better now and(((hugs))) for those with worries.
Well, my news is that the 'Roland' is back in the garden 'pest'. I am seriously considering removing the bird feeders although I hate to do it:(, but I cannot bear the thought of 'Roland' running amok through the summer veg. I was tempted to buy bait the other day but then, I couldn't bring myself to do it -after all 'Roland' doesn't know he's being a pain and some people think bunnies are 'pests' as well, but I love them. So DH was dispatched yet again to make reinforcement along the fence as we found another hole. It doesn't help when you have neighbours who revel in the company of 'Rolands' and create all kinds of habitats for them.
The whole thing gets me so wound up to the point that yesterday I put my teabag in the washing up bowl and poured water on it  Now that's bad:rotfl:
Just so fed up though of selfish, uncaring, thoughtless bl**dy minded people, who seem to take sheer delight in making life for others miserable and 'yes' we have tried to discuss the situation with them amicably but they are not for 'talking or listening or compromise'. So dead end.
Now that's off my chest, I hope everyone else is doing ok. I am back to the dentist today for a couple of crowns, so hoping not to have more problems with the injections this time.Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

I don't think I would risk the bunnies outside just yet. It is forcast to be getting quite cold again from this weekend, but then I am a softy and my bunny lives indoors with us.:)Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

Eliza I managed to pick up a humungous double decker indoor cage for £10 on ebay just 10 miles away from me - only saw it when it was 20 mins from ending so I was obviously meant to have it! I think I will start getting them used to it as I just took a look and it's saying -7 for some nights next week. : ( We have cleared out the children's playhouse and are now going to be using it as a shed, so the cage can go in there when it gets a bit warmer, and the bunnies can go back to the chicken coop.0

SQ WOW, well done with your positive thoughts. Getting it down on paper is an excercise that psychologists often use, I know they did with Oh. You are now on day one of your new life! Celebrate with a cuppa and something yummy, you deserve it. Dont forget to print or write out your statement, which is what it is and keep it. When you are struggling read it again and see how far you have come. Hugs ginny.
Its damp here but nothing to bad. Not really cold either so am going to make the best of the day and do a few chores that have been niggling at me. First job is put OH's new curtains up instead of letting the cat sleep on them - they are covered with a cloth of course as I knew he would like them as a bed:DClearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0
