Spring has sprung here and my snowdrops have poked their wee noses above ground. Am going out to play in the garden later, hopefully it will shake off my dark mood. I've got 3 (grownup) children and each one of them has come to us recently with huge problems, and although I know the Universe works in strange ways and all things are meant, I feel very down. Outside under a blue sky with birds cheeping surely that will lift :)
  • The sun is out here too :D and lovely to see so many large clumps of snowdrops are coming out. Such a bright, positive vibe to the day. :)

However, the lovely bright sunshine is showing me just how dirty the windows are though! :( They will have to wait a while longer though as still getting back on track with things after a bit of a blip. Really reading everyones posts but not posting much myself atm.

Have a lovely sunny Sunday everyone! :)

  • Morning all - we have the sun here too! Its wonderful, even if it isnt throwing out much heat.
My uncle has decided that the only way i will ever pass my driving test is if i do an intensive residential driving course:eek:. I really want to drive but i keep putting my children and their needs first so i never find time to study in peace. I couldnt even change my clothes the other day without them all banging on the bedroom door asking if i was ok!
The best bit of his comment though? He says he is going to find the money to pay for it and then all i have to do is pay him back 'some time':j
  • MAR I'm glad spring has sprung in your world too, it's felt a bit selfish posting my walkies discoveries but I hoped it would give folks the sense that spring was coming soon!!! Get your little self outside and soak in the smell of green that comes with it and enjoy the sunshine, that will make you feel more positive and then the world doesn't feel such a dark place, enjoy it all my friend, Cheers Lyn xxx.

I don't get it, I was warm and cosy all night, no CH or electric blanket needed. Still that way and I have awoke to a cloud free but sunny sky. I even managed to take some of my extra clothes off.

I slept well but as said elsewhere on here I have already had cereal and earlier had some sliced pork in wholemeal rolls:p:rotfl:at this rate I won't need much for the rest of the day...

IT'S SUNNY AND I WANNA BE OUTSIDE

    <<stamps foot>>

instead I have to spend the entire day and night working as I have been [STRIKE]shaft[/STRIKE] er let down by someone at work.

Still lamb shanks are going in the slow cooker coated in curry type spices so nice smells are going to come out of my kitchen all day :D Am going to make some soup for lunch due to the extraordinarily large amount of carrots we seem to have.

Around that my red pen will be whirring over exam papers.

Need coffee - and lots of it.
I wanna be in the room where it happens
  • Er...sorry to butt in on Spring, but have just found a pm from Nursie. She has heard the rumours GQ, that you've endeavoured to put a stop to her plans and is so seriously...er..miffed.. that she says she is coming anyway.

I think she is travelling via Bali, and would you believe, coming in the guise of a nurse because that is the quickest way of getting into Australia!

What should I do? The thought of her getting involved with Bloco do Norte's samba drumming is troubling enough, but as they sometimes perform in the park near the surf lifesaving club, with hot blood pulsing through her veins is it likely she will turn her attentions onto the surf lifesavers?

Can someone volunteer to come as a chaperone? I have a spare bed.

Sorry to hear of your troubles, I have to say i'm feeling the same just now which is why i've not been around much - everything is going wrong, or is in a state with the potential to go wrong and i'm finding it a bit over-whelming just now.
Mar grown-up children's problems are more difficult I think - cannot be solved with a hug and a cake in quite the same way :)
I spent the morning tidying up the garden and i'm beetroot red now! really limited in how much physical work I can do but it really helps, just being outside.
