Morning everyone,
I hope you will have me back.
Starting to feel abit normal after the death of my brother in Nov.
It was quite a shock and its taken awhile to get over it.
But as they say life goes on and he would be so annoyed if he thought we were not enjoying our lives because of him, as he did live life to the fullest.
I will make a cup of tea and start reading over the last few pages I was going to start from xmas But I would be here for ever as you look cant half talk.
I hope everyone is ok.
Will be back later

Thanks 7WW. In good news, the physio seems to think things are progressing well, hubby confirmed with her that the plan is "break me down to build me up" somewhat, which is tiring and hurts, but will ultimately be for the best.... I guess.... boy I wish I could have a good stiff drink though.
Welcome back Sunshine4 and have a *hug*Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Morning DENISE so glad you are back with us again and also very pleased for you that you are beginning to come to terms with your loss. Let's all enjoy the spring as it comes up country and make the most of better weather when it comes. I think you should make a whole pot of tea if you are going to read all the back posts, or pour some into a flask so you can come back to it later, don't give yourself eyestrain, as you say we can't half natter!!!!!Cheers Lyn xxx.0

Hugs Sunshine and welcome back. You are so right about your brother, I feel like that about my mum who died 3 years ago. If i feel down and teary i can "hear" here saying "you have to get on with it". I kind of feel like I owe it to her to carry on and enjoy life as that is what she did. Doesn't mean I don't have the odd "moment" though.
I am working from home today - as you can seeIt is actually my day off but I am helping others out with their marking and I will take the time back in the summer. Though actually, in April I am going back to Korea which is "private" teaching work so I may take the time back then. Swings and roundabouts really.
We have a beautiful blue sky and sunshine :T I know it's getting cold again next week but I'll enjoy this while it lasts. OH and I might go out walking tomorrow, or cycling. I might persuade him into a pub lunch too as we didn't do anything for VD yesterday.
I am going to bite the bullet and make one of the kebabs from takeaway secret for tea. One question - what is "kebab sauce"? I have garlic salad dressing and was thinking of using that.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Welcome back Sunshine, Big HUGS to all who are struggling in one way or another.
VJ - my Mum died 12 years ago & she always loved flying so when we see vapour trails crossing each other in the sky she is sending us kisses. I know its silly but whenever I see them I think of her & it gives me a lift & guess what - its clear & sunny here today with a beautiful kiss from Mum
Hope everyone has a good weekend a manages to get a little bit of 'me' timeSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Some old style help please.......I have several single duvets surplus to use but have two grandchildren on the way.could I cut them down to travel cot size? What would be th best way of doing it?0
-
I would cut them so the openings are down the side - then the covers can be used either end. You'll probably be able to get 2 out of each duvet.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

Hi just be aware that a baby under 12 months of age should not use a duvet for safety reasons, most duvets for normal beds are to high a tog rating for an infant.1 Sealed Pot Challenge # 1480

Elisa I wouldn't cut them up, as babies aren't meant to use duvets in a cot, and before you know it they'll be big enough to go in a regular bed anyway - keep them as singles for a couple of years' time. If they will be sleeping on the floor, my mum came up with a great solution to stop my two from rolling all over the floor. They are big movers in bed and I used to spend my night hearing them roll around and putting them back on the foam mattress. She cut up an old duvet cover so that it stretched under a width of the mattress and had enough on each side to fit a plump pillow in. Then when we are staying she puts a pillow on each side and it keeps them on the mattress - much more sleep (for me - they never even woke up when they were just on carpet).0
