Hehehehe! Heavenleigh this baby was the sneeze - her big sister was 10pounds 10 ounces!
Kidcat (((hugs))) and i hope you get to see your uncle.
Wondercollie good luck with your new job.
My Uncle Happy has set me a challenge. Pass my driving theory test by the end of the month. EEEEK!!!!! I have the pc discs but i just cant seem to find the time to use them when i am not so tired that i cant make sense of them. But i really want to be able to drive and i even have my little fiesta all insured and ready to use. The actual lessons are great, Uncle says i am a very good driver which is funny because he normally insults women drivers. He is a lorry driver so sees a lot of bad driving.
I paid for 13 lessons years ago then did the rest of my learning with an ex lorry driver...he taught me all the useful things like how to reverse into a tight space and ''impossible''parking at difficult angles......he was a great teacher! Unfortunately I got a very nasty lady examiner who failed me for answering her back....lol...so I put in an official complaint, got a free retest and passed easily with the area head examiner. It seems I had the fourth complaint for that morning....she must have been having a bad day. We were out so long on my test that my OH was standing by the kerb in a panic thinking we had had an accident! I have loved driving ever since and drive both the car and scooter here. Many people are too scared to take to the roads here when they move from Britain, especially the ladies. Many have a licence but never drive here.
Got a cloudy day but its pleasant with a very warm southerly wind blowing. Off to a curry evening tonight so just had a prawn and sardine salad for lunch, it was lovely.
Went looking for some business type clothes to wear for my little job when I start having to meet the real estate clients and show them the luxury properties. We have a sales shop that sells good British brands and they have a sale on at 20 euros a kg...yes they weight the clothes! I got a perfect red shift type dress for 10 euros, a long flowery skirt for the summer for 3 euros and a selection of leather belts for 1 euro each to glam up my stuff from last year. I am really pleased I went to have a look.
Love and prayers for all who need them, sounds like some of you are having a very hard time at the moment. My thoughts are with you all.“The superior man, when resting in safety, does not forget that danger may come. When in a state of security he does not forget the possibility of ruin.” Confucius (551 BC - 479 BC):A0 -
We have the big yellow ball in the sky and a lovely breeze. Watching the washing blowing on the line has given me a smile from ear to ear. Life's simple pleasures are the best. Will hold it hostage until the washing is dry and then will pass it on to the highest bidder. Starting bid a minimum og 6 tins of toms and a large bag of riceI am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order

The lighter days creep up on you suddenly...I was out around 4.50pm yesterday and suddenly thought..."It's still light!" It has been until recently dark by 4pm...and yet...we are still approx 8 weeks from putting the clocks forward..."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Yellow ball here too
- lovely. Am currently in the conservatory which has been a frostbite inducing no go area for months, and Miss Mattie Moo Moo is in her very FAVORITE spot, on the table, sunbathing
We've even been W A L K I N G. Could see the slopes of Snowdon in the distance, and a bit of a rainbow, very pretty.
Just had a flip through Hairy Dieters, all looks very do-able and yum, it's not often a diet book makes me feel peckish :rotfl: But there is squat diddley in the cupboards snack wise, as I just discovered. Young master informs me that "I could have told you that!" Must make a proper list and re-stock, rice cakes, and yogs, apples and the such like. I seem to have lots of food, but nothing to eatended up having a second bowl of cornflakes!

By golly it's turned very, very cold here. The washing came in nearly frozen. The wind has whipped up and even popping to the garage for logs has left me with that burny feeling in my fingers from getting too cold. This cold snap that's on it's way sounds quite nasty.
Ive got a chilli bubbling away in the Sc, smells delish, got a bottle of homemade elderberry wine in from the garage too so will sit infront of the fire with a small tipple and something good to listen to whilst patchworking."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
I have to confess that my washing only made it as far as the TD today - so much to do and it's so cold here it wouldn't have dried, although it's still beautifully sunny here in Yorkshire. Pooky, I know what you mean - the littlies played out for a bit and just getting out bikes and footballs was unpleasant. Needless to say, they weren't out long before coming in and asking for hot chocolate! :rotfl:
Thank you to those who kindly backed me up re DD's financial woes - you are all right, and we are sticking to our guns - as long as we keep getting her out these messes she'll not learn anything, but she's hard for me to deal with so I make DH do it!
Speaking of simple pleasures, earlier I was singing along to "Mamma Mia" on the radio in front of little DS - he looked amazed and said " I didn't know you could sing like that, mummy, your singing's beautiful!" I'm not bad, but it nearly brought tears to my eyes - what a lovely chappie!
