For me if my hands and feet are warm I am reasonably ok. Having a full stomach probably helps too;)
Pops that indoor temp of 12 degrees is much too cold , far to low , if I was outside at that temp id be wearing a good thick coat,my temp inside the house is 20 and at that temp I still wear a fleece .........I feel the cold a lot not being well.........
Its so windy outside but nice and dry, also had sunshine........Sheila0 -
Heavenleigh: You are a miracle worker, but even miracle workers need someone in their corner so here we are. You are allowed your 'down' moments, heaven knows, you've earned them. Hope you can do something nice for yourself, snuggle up with a bar of chocolate - it's good for you, hadn't you heard? I have a friend who, when she is feeling desperate, stands in front of her mirror and says loudly, "Now, what can I do for darling me today?" Try it.
Sitting here waiting for the Rev to return from her conference. Goodbye peace, goodbye eating when and what I like, goodbye curling up with a book in the middle of the morning. Hello, normal life.
Fuddle: Let me know how you get on with the crate training. Would they have a crate large enough for a larger-than-life Vicaress? it's just what this house lacks.

All you lovely warmhearted people help to keep me sane xxxx
Wow, you're a trooperfit right in here. You've triumphed over adversity hleigh.
Quick Q: does anyone know what the herb cutter is called that rocks from side to side?
Have a bit of news. We have a wii, had it for ages and doesn't really get used now DH and I aren't into boxing each other. We've just found out that you can rig it to the TV and internet for free and access iplayer. Apparently you can get the internet too. Picture me tomorrow morning catching up with you all on TV
DH and I are determined not to get sky and this will help loads.

With a boot up the bum I'm sure she'll fit in.
 look what you resort me to! :rotfl: I shall let you know. I know how to train him, done it before - 'tis all about him being comfy in there, not to feel trapped or scolded and make sure he gets plenty of yummies while in. I'll be fine0 -

Fuddle - its a mezzaluna.
Hello all - Hugs heavenleigh and to anyone else who feels the need of one today.
Well Wednesdays are supposed to be my respite day but I seem to have spent all day in the car toing and froing. Dropped kids off at nursery, into town to change library books, then home, then was back to nursery at lunch time as OT was in then home again and then back out to pick DH up at 2, then home for hie o shower then back out to pick the kids up again! Did treat myself to a pop into the craft shop on the way to pick them up though as I needed some more yellow wool tops for DD's birthday pressie. It's not til March but getting on with it as it's a lot of work. My Dad is making her a wooden market stall and I am needle felting fruit and vegetables for her to sell on it. I'd run out of yellow though for the bananas and lemons and was also short on orange for the oranges - I also managed to get ome lovely purple that is just the right colour for aubergines. I'm sure plastic fruit and veg would be much cheaper and definately easier but it's serving dual purpose of being my crafty project of the moment as well as DD's birthday pressie and they are beautiful (if I do say so myself!!! - actually DH and my lovely sewing club friends say so too) and so much more tactile than plastic (and much softer for when they undoubtably get chucked around the room or used to clonk DS on the head!)
Right - off to make tea now, leek, ham and cheese sauce pasta - yummy!0 -
I have a job interview! Next Tuesday Morning. They cater for school drop offs and pick ups at the girls' school so hopefully, if I get the job, the girls will be in the same building as me.
Whooosh! peel me off the ceiling.0 -
Congratulations fuddle! Will keep fingers crossed for you. :j:j:j0

Well done on the interview Fuddle. You can also have netfllx and luvfilm through your Wii. Just make sure you're on an unlimited download Internet package, we have both currently but ones ending soon, we play them off against each other on £co.
Stiltwalker, I'm dying to see this market stall, I want one!!
Spent most of today under a duvet feeling utterly shattered and cold to the core. Not slept well for weeks now so will take some of my herbal sleeping tabs tonight and try and get my rhythm back. I'm feeling very stressed about money at the moment, we have enough coming in and more than enough savings but I seem to be very anxious about it for some reason. I sure some sleep will help. I've also popped my knee out so hoping that will reset itself tomorrow.
Made shepherds pie for tea, really fancied it far someone mentioned it on here the other day. Made two up for the freezer (to feed 2) and there's enough left from tonight's to feed DH and DD1 lunch tomorrow, so 10 portions all in all. I soaked and cooked up all the odds and ends of packs of lentils, peas, soup mix, barley and some pinto beans, froze them down in portions and added two to the mince when I cooked it, it was delish!"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W.
