I do Fuddle, sometimes have the heating on for four hours a day...usually first thing in the morning and the evening...and I think I have a plan which if it works, as the year goes on I will be able to use it even more, absorb the changes that are coming and could eat better but I have to see how things pan out over this year...

Eliza - i feel the same, gales always make me feel cold, especially when they make that awful howling noise.
Scares the life out of me. *brrrrrr*

Oh and way off topic :o

Can anyone recommend any good free kindle books for me to read. Reading les miserables at the moment but my fuzzy brain won't let me concentrate.

    cheers x

kezlou I love my kind*e too. I managed to get a set of free books a couple of weeks ago, about the benefits of vinegar, bicarb, etc. not exactly bedtime reading but well worth a read (must check out the proper titles) I have a feeling though they might not be free any longer -ooops sorry that wasn't a particularly helpful post:o. I downloaded *wait for me* the other day, it was free, but I haven't read it yet:)

    I'm quite cosy :)

Wind is blowing outside and it can stay there...did a little shop earlier(couldn't find any yellow stickered items)but I went mainly for basics...bread, breadbuns, vegetables and some biscuits etc...

Watched the Hairy Bikers, some nice and easy meals I may try but...though they said all the meals were reasonable cost wise their Sunday Roast meal was almost £5 per portion and they did it for a family of four so that's £20. I won't be spending £5 on one meal and I think that was only one course.

Now, if my plan works that I mentioned earlier I might be able to, not saying that I will but the option could be there.

I think that I could make pasta now having watched the programme.

Tina:-:grouphug: Have a hug by all means, sounds like you need it.
Fuddle:- Nice one! Fingers crossed. :)
Kezlou and Kidcat:- Hope you are both feeling a bit better today.

Wind seems to have settled here and I cant see any major damage thank goodness. It was really funny yesterday I had five of my Grandchildren's footballs rolling round the garden yesterday, like invisible people were playing football!:D
We are celebrating my DD's 30th birthday today, so a pub lunch and home for some cake. Thirty years, don't know where they went!:)

    Help
The children's school has asked parents to cook cakes for Comic Relief and they will sell slices to raise money. Now, I have a thing in my head that tells me I cannot make sponge cakes! Not at all!:(
I cook everything else fine but this is a real brick wall for me. Does anyone have a fool-proof recipe I can try. Bearing in mind this will be fed to live subjects,:rotfl: I will need to practise it a couple of times to make sure it's edible.:D Oh and it has to look funny! A novelty cake! I need to concentrate on not producing a 'brick' first!!

  • Morning all, today is a better day (still can't be assed to use proper punctuation or grammar though....sorry!)

Whatever made me think having 4 children was a good idea though?
    Ds1=14, Dd1=12, Ds2=7, Dd2=4!

Glutton for bloody punishment i think!

Meeting with the pompous !!!!! of a headmaster at ds2's school this morning, he came home with no less than 15 bruises on his legs yesterday after being bullied by older kids.
On calling the school, was told he was too busy to talk to me....lovely feeling getting up on the warpath in the morning.
As I said earlier, today is a better day, at least i can laugh at it all, bet the headteacher won't be laughing when i've finished with him though! And smile lol xx
I will save my tesco £1 savings stamps this year! .......so far = £50 (full card#1)
Card #2 £6. I will not be skint at Chistmas this year!

    Total £56

Meme Could you make fairy cakes instead of one big one? Once iced it usually covers up any oopsadaises. 100g each of sugar, SR flour and marg in a bowl, add 2 eggs and a splash of milk and whisk using an electric mixer. Cook at 180 for about 15 minutes depending on your oven. Ice then use smarties to make eyes and noses and a tube of writing icing to make smiles, goofy teeth etc.

Heavenleigh Go get 'em and let us know how you get on. I really despise bullies, especially those who pick on children smaller than themselves.

It's howling a gale again here. I've slept for about 4 hours. I am supposed to drop the boy off at school, walk for an hour with a friend and then get together with three other friends to be weighed. What I would like to do is crawl back into bed and stay there!
