Pops phone them back and complain under the terms of credit card acceptance funds taken on a card should be refunded by card. Also if you put the transaction into query with the card issuer it should not accrue interest or any minimum payments so worth doing ASAP.

I sometimes worry that I sound self centred its not meant to because I have spent much of my life thinking of others, I feel pretty good again, done a little shopping too.
The plan is to finish tidying later, tomorrow and Monday cleaning, Tuesday hoovering around then Wednesday they come to tell me what is likely to happen when the changes start in April so we'll see.
Monday my classical concert, Tuesday the on town free music night. So a few things to think about:)
Oh considering the cutbacks to the service etc...I found out bus fares increase tomorrow."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Thank you for the advice...a form is being sent to me from the card company...I have spent some money on it this afternoon and as I will pay that off on Monday in theory my payment is done and then my new transaction won't show for approx 6 weeks so that takes care of the minimum payment, if I split my payment that covers the next two months. In the meantime the original error will be wiped out and I'll owe nothing...I hope that makes sense."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Mrs vp no need to apologise! You did what we all do. It's tough, I hope we'll cope and I think we will because .....' Don't be apologising
Pops I hear you with other people's mistakes ending up costing us time, money and frustration. It seems everything I try to change, alter, renew us making me hit my head off a sick wall!
I salute those of you who are continuing to jog and run. I'm scared too but will be walking as fast as my little (big) bot will wobble me comin home from the school run in Tues morningpleased to report that I have lost 2lb since Boxing Day. Trying out the 5:2 diet today. I read its 500 cals for women not 600, eek! Rocket salad, a tiny bit of cheese and a slice of ham for tea tonight. Others are having ploughmans
looking forward to creamy mushroom chicken and swede mash tomorrow though
I too seems to have turned a corner these past few days. I hope it continues... been on the Viking ship at the park with the girls. Seriously why is it that we think we'll be fine and then try to get down and become all 'pants, my legs won't actually do this anymore' I was itching to do hand stand leaning up the pole... Came home and played keep link instead! I saw that one, kerplunk!
Have a lovely Saturday everyone. Going to visit MIL later the a night of crochet. X0 -
Can I ask you about deodorant before I go? Is there a money saving solution, or a natural solution? I'm tired of paying money for fake smelling aroma of died flowers just to keep body odour away. I get a wash down, shower or bath nightly but the walki g will make me sweat so dare not do with out. What did they do war era and after?0

I use MUM roll in the grey bottle so is unscented. This seems to work really well for my very sensitive skin and no scent.I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Fuddle - deodorant solutions. If you have access to a Lush shop (or can order online) they do a solid deodorant bar that smells nice and lasts for ages. Alternatively, Sainsbugs do their Basics deodorant roll on for about 30 -odd pence I think? (Ages since I bought one, as I stocked up on a few).
Happy New Year to all OS-ers, from a long-time lurker and occasional poster - may 2013 bring us contentment with what we have, or the ability to improve on our situations. One life - your life - live it!0 -
Fuddle I use salt of the earth stick from holland and barrett. The one I bought I have had for 18 months and there is still tons left. I don't use it on teaching days or other times when I think adrenaline will be high (I suffer from excess adrenaline) but probably use it 4 or 5 days out of 7 and more in holiday periods. It doesn't stop moisture but it does stop it smelling. Here is a link, though I bought mine from holland and barrett

So decs down but not yet put away - OH can do a loft trip tomorrow. I don't go up there due to it previously housing various forms of livestock - squirrels and birds. Got divebombed by a blackbird once up there. Nothing there now but don't like to take chances!
I need to clean 2 bathrooms and then work round the other rooms, finding home for pressies and putting stuff away and then deep cleaning. OH is doing tax stuff - booooring.
Oh and my first ever loaf of handmade bread is in oven :TI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Am back from the opticians with DS8 it was hard today as he is clearly struggling, we are stripping Christmas from the house today, which he always finds difficult anyway.
Shops are so busy which I really do not understand, I have yet to see any offers that are particularly better than prior to Christmas, it seems that people have been sucked into the idea that prices are cheaper without any evidence of that.0 -
Prices definitely aren't any cheaper Kidkat - tesco value chicken breasts (frozen) up by £1 overnight , value pitta bread up by 20p (price doubled overnight) and even value fish fingers up 5p.
And that's just the ones I noticed, when I went to replace freezer stocks. I've found lately it's all the value or the cheaper own brand products I buy that are going up - some by a little at a time, and others literally doubling.
Aldi's frozen chicken breasts, the same weight, are still £3.99 I think, so I will wait till I go there some time next week.
I got a kilo of pork loin steaks for £4.25 (day of sell by), only reduced by 75p but still. Half of them are in the slow cooker with lentils, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes and potatoes (for the next few night's dinners) and the other half frozen.
Not much done today, I had a long lie-in (til 9.30, unheard of unless I'm sickening for something!) and then did a leisurely shopping trip. Being lazy and indulgent now, as it's my last couple of days off.
Tomorrow will be spent getting everything sorted ready for another six weeks of work - bag and equipment on "launch pad", lunches planned, breakfasts ready (home made muesli) and clothes all ready. I won't say ironed, because I don't
And finally - the treadmill is ready for use! I just have to make myself use it now - I need to psych myself up for a routine, even if it's just ten minutes when I get home.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.
Weight loss journey started January 2015-32lbs0
