Hi everyone, Well today i have managed to gain a full blown cold. Sat feeling all sorry for myself im afraid.

We have de christmasised the house today, all cleaned afterwards even tho i am feeling pants. All the washing is done and out away - not ironed tho.

Kidcat, sorry to hear about your cat, we too lost our mr ben this year. I am thankful for the special years we had together, and im sure he was too. They arent just pets they are family members.

Well i am sat waiting for the oh to phone so i can collect him from work as he has to leave the company vehicle there from now on. He was at work from 430am this mornig so i expect him to be tired. And tomorrow i have drawn the short straw and need to be at work for 745am.

kidcat - the poor thing, at least the vets treatment was good and let you stay with him while he went to sleep. At least you know he had a good life and was loved by you all xxxx

fuddle - my partner was going to do the barrage one last month, but decided to just do it in stewarts park instead. He normally runs the albert park one, as its only five minutes from our house.

Thanks pooky that would be great :)

So glad i brought good memories back for you meme and sq:)

thank you all for your kindness and thoughts, once again you were all there for me.

Its been a hard day today, havent been to bed yet, as I waited up to tell OH and then the kids were up an hour later. OH was angry with me, he says the cat had been fine earlier and that I should have waited, clearly he didnt hear the noise.
DS14 has taken it exceptionally badly, hasnt left his bed and is almost catatonic, have tried everything I know to engage him but he just lies there. Heres hoping he improves later.

Fuddle - have you looked into school transport costs? I seem to remember this was the nearest school with places and as such anything over 2 mile usually gets help with the cost, certainly here they do.

Why is DH angry Kidcat, the vet knew what he/she was doing, which was the best thing for your cat. I hope DS comes to terms with it soon.
    How very sad. : (

All boxes/suitcases back in the loft, downstairs tidied (a bit), ham in the slow cooker, washing done and hung out. All ready for our non-celebration tonight.
PS. I was just thinking the same about school transport costs Fuddle, round here they have cut secondary transport drastically but primary still exists.

He says the cat was fine earlier and that the vet was over reacting - he has no idea with animals, having had none when he was younger. His auty streak comes out here as well :)

Just checked and here you would definitely get help with transport fuddle so its worth contacting your council on Wednesday,

We're having a non celebration too Possession. A friend invited us to hers but she's having around 20/30 people go, none of which I know so we fibbed and said we had family duties. She's one of these people that needs to be surrounded by others at all times, I'm not and much prefer my own company. DH finds socialising hard work and can't move around her house very well (it's too messy and his footing isnt great at the best of times). Hate fibbing but hey, I'm going to be tucked up by 9pm with a film and some crochet and hope there's no phone calls. DD1 is going to a party but staying over so I don't need to worry about waiting up.

Ventured out for the first time in 10 days, needed some fresh fruit and veg, have meal planned for the month and have all the makings of breakfasts, lunches and dinners for 33 days (aside from fresh fruit and veg and milk). This months grocery spends should be below £150 with any luck.
