Aw kidcat, I'm really sorry to read about your sad news. It read like a shock and I'm sure that's how it feels. It's just not fair but this new year you can think about all the minxy things and lovely things your little fluffy member of your family got up to.

The bananas have been chopped and frozen in the freezer. Thank you for all your helpful ideas. It's looking like banana ice cream eventually. Ill now freeze all bananas that are on the turn or, yum! Have a carton of custard ready.

Kezlou thanks for the park run tip off I had no idea. One at the barrage and the embarrassing thing is there was one where I used to live and had no idea! I did the first day of the couch to 3k. Ow, my knees are feeling it. It was only 5x 1.5 min bursts too (insert embarrassed smiley)

We have done the school walk today too - 4.28 miles there and back burning 500 cals. I do that twice so will be burning 1000cals a day. Girls managed it fine and normally they won't be doing the way back till home time so I think it will be fine :) I have sussed the bus route, easy but at a cost of £130 for a month we cannot even think about it. Works out at arou d £7 single for us so on days it rains I guess we can use the buss but returns will exceed £10 for one day. Buses really are becoming a luxury mode of transport! Seriously, a car in this instance will be cheaper to run. How crazy.

Boudicca is in the cupboard and poised for her first tesco trip. People say I'm stubborn for walking, I'm not I'm just careful with money and needs must!

Still suffering for boredom (how shallow!) and dreading tv entertainment tonight as there is non, 'tis rubbish IMO soooooooo... We're going to play charades with the girls. Should be funny if nothing else.

Oh, also... In the new year I'm going to get a hair cut. I'm having a pixie ;) now I haven't been to the hair salon since before he bank***** (dirty word, no longer relevant in my life) and have always just cut it myself so I am nervous and with it costing £34 it will have to wait till mid Januar. Is £20 for a wet cut too much?

Well into my routine of walking Alfie at 6.30 every morning. It's a good set up to the day but a shocker walking round like nutty professor hair!! Also, there's a lot of ignorant snobs here :( I. Gas been bothering me because a smile costs nothing but decided I will smile at everyone, say morning/hello to those I know and let the grumpbags walking thinking I'm weird lol oh, I have made a dog walking buddy. She's canny and has a cocker spaniel of 1 and is as crackers as Alfie. They get on well, nice to see Alfie being around other dogs. So funny though, the nature reserve is out the back of us. I wandered tha way in yesterday and thought I'd end up in the pond. Alfie saw the ducks and was off... Reminiscent of the you tube clip of the dog chasing the dear through the park last year except alf was on the lead pulling me through the mud!

Right., too much waffle. Non of which is OS related or tough unless we take the words banana, walk, trolley, expensive transport, keep fit without spending money :D perfectly in topic

Hi Katie - I don't have a TV guide, but go to www.radiotimes.com and you'll find out if it is on tonight/tomorrow. HTH

I've already looked there :( it's where I couldn't find it... I'd hoped it's just because I was being an eejit, it's all rather confusing (not like paper) Do you think it would be on ITV1 still? I can't see it on ITV2 either :(

Has anyone got real TV listings paper knocking about...I just looked online and I can't see it anywhere. OH has been looking forward to the repeat of Downton Abbey, and I'm sure I saw it was on either today or tomorrow???? Have we missed it already or didn't it repeat? I have a horrible feeling that when I checked it might have been Last years that was repeated on New years day :o He's not going to be a happy bunny! He'll have to watch it on catchup otherwise...

    Kate

Kate I saw a repeat- only by chance- last Thursday the 27th at 4.30 on ITV1 - not sure if it's repeated again. I didn't know it was on so missed the beginning. :(

Burger....I bet when I looked it up I saw last years details, and I never noticed. Dog house for Katieowl :( Sad old git was so looking forward to it too.

I've got another batch of granola in the oven. I was thinking to make it plain, but certified gf, so that people could add what they wanted to it? OH said he'd want to buy a complete product, not have to buy extra stuff. I pointed out that most GF people were really HAPPY to find something different that was GF, and by making it plain, I could avoid nut allergies, and things that people hate in it (and also keep the price down, as the fruit and nuts are the expensive bits) What do you think??? Supermarket GF cereal is vile, and very expensive WAY too sweet and you don't want porridge every day!

  • I am so sorry. We lost our 16 year old last week. Your cat knew he was loved and had a special life. That is all we can offer them. I'm sending you hugs and love. Go cuddle the others.

Christmas Downton Abbey is still free on ITV player catch up but can't see it on ordinary TV and ITV are charging for more of their programmes. Available for 28 days...

Hey what a great bread recipe on Nigel Slater the other day. No yeast and no waiting for it to rise...made and baked in an hour...
