I'm so sorry to hear about your cat Kidcat *hugs*.I had hoped 2012 had done its worst and was done, it appears it had one last blow to deal me and it is like the final straw.
I had just come on to post something pretty similar after the past few days we've had, but compared to your news ours seems trivial.
So, we'll give 2012 the kick up the !!! it deserves at midnight and hope 2013 will be better for all of us.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Dreadful news Kidkat but glad the vets were helpful and you got to stay with him.
What a naff end to the year for you all x
kezlou, I'll do a blog post in the next few days showing how to do the hexi-patchwork, that way I can add pictures to make it make more sense."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Oh kidcat I'm so sorry to hear about your cat: it will be a huge loss to you and your family - including his brother and sister. It does sound like the PDSA were wonderful.
Losing pets is never easy, especially when there are children involved. Nothing else I can say, take care of you and yours. xx0 -
Oh Kidcat that's awful. :grouphug:
Kezlou:- Brilliant coastline and Bamburgh is an amazing castle. Driving up the coast and having chips in Seahouses was one of our favourite things to do when we had a caravan in Boulmer. We used to eat them sitting on the seats overlooking the harbour and watching the boats ploughing through the waves to the Farne Islands.

Lovely memories. Thank you.:DGive us the strength to encounter that which is to come, that we may be brave in peril, constant in tribulation, temparate in wrath, and in all changes of fortune, and down to the gates of death, loyal and loving to one another.”0 -
Is there no end to what this year has done, I think most have had the stuffing knocked out of them. How could you expect to be greeted that way...
I know in reality its only another day but...I suspect we will need to support each other perhaps even more in the New Year.
It's been a wild night here and the bins were blown over so I pushed them into the front garden behind the hedge laid on their sides(one was damaged a few days ago)did that in the early hours...:(
I'm not going out. Will sleep and stay warm this morning...then tidy round this afternoon and perhaps do a little buffet later like I used to do with Mum...maybe some mini sausage rolls, stuffing balls, crisps, pickled onions, cheese and may break into some ham. Have a little drink(may open the champagne that never was used last year with Mum.
It is said 40% will stay home...I'll toast you all...but could be in bed by the midnight hour...
Booked a year in advanced but I hope to see The Mouse Trap when it gets here in June. Just had a tweet from the actor Graham Seed to confirm that he will be on stage all being well.:)

Hubby say I think more of the hens than I do him:eek:, dare not tell him he is right.....:D, Ive got 41 girls now and thats my limit........
KIDCAT so sorry to hear your sad news of your poor cat,you knew the time had come and you wouldnt let him/her suffer, but it dont take that pain away do it..?.....All I can say is "time is the healer " in those cases...........Sheila0 -
So sorry to hear about your cat Kidcat. (((hugs))) for coping with DS too.
Sounds like lots of us will be glad to see the back of 2012 TBH.
Nothing planned here today but clearing up, putting boxes in the loft, doing washing. It won't impress the children much, but that's life.0 -
KIDCAT - Hope you are feeling OK, it is devastating to loose someone you love but, it appears you had no choice this time and did what you had to as a loving and responsible owner. I do so hope the other two can resolve thier differences and tolerate each other and that his brother cat settles soon. Hugs and love Lyn xxx.0

(((((((kidkat))))))) so sorry to hear about your cat. Even years after the event, I still tear-up at the memories of losing cats.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
