Kidcat! That will be magical, I wanna come play
I was 14 when I heard about Dunblane. It was the first peace of news that really upset me. My sil moved there for a short while and I dreaded going up to visit. My heart goes out to the people who live there and are reminded of it every single day. I actually feel bad that I don't know what has happened in America as haven't tuned into the news today but I have a feeling especially with the Dunblane comparison
Well I'm sat here in my new living room on my sofas (with bags and boxes surrounding me!) and I feel very lucky indeed. DH and FIL on the last trip to get the dregs while I faff about with my vases an pictures
Alfie apparently is very upset and is howling like the beagle he is is (cross) he's still in the old house until we pick the girls up. He's known for days something is up. I wish I could drive and go get him!!! Girls are playing at SIL house. Masses to do but enjoying every minute of it. The tree spot is picked out (or rather dictated to as there's no other option!) and my sofas just say fit in (slight overhang at doorway but fine) kitchen cupboard space is a real concern - I can't have a stock of food like I used to. Breakfast bar is 1/3 off so ordered for Thursday. Very happy and appreciate all I have. We bought a new build 7 years ago (the house we lost) and it didn't feel as good as this does. I truelly have learned to appreciate. This is home already.
Only snag is we have to go back to old house tomorrow and clean and meet up with LL. fingers crossed for my deposit.
Have a lovely Saturday.0 -
Oh fuddle - well done, I am amazed you have managed it so quickly, it took us ages, but that was mostly me and OH with my dad doing bits where he could.0

Fuddle good luck in your new home!
Not a very good day here, we were on the way back from the school christmas fair when some idiot went into the back of us. He apologised and completely admitted fault (for now), so the insurance company have waived the excess, but there is still the hassle of having the work done, having a replacement car, and it likely won't be done by Christmas. Nobody was hurt thankfully although DH may have a bit of whiplash as his neck, back and shoulder hurt. Could have done without it, grrrrrrr.0 -
Oh Possession, what a grrrrr moment, is the damage really bad? Its possible the garage can get it sorted in time for Christmas for you.0

Oh rotten luck POSESSION just what you don't need, especially at this time of year (or any other time of year!). Thank goodness none of you were seriously hurt, but your poor DH, hope if it is whiplash it is minor and doesn't give him too much discomfort. It's such a shock when things like that happen, it really shakes you up doesn't it? Hugs to you all, tea all round, yes? Take care of yourselves, Cheers Lyn xxx.0
