I had one of those Mr T vouchers that was £5 off a £40 spend that expired today. I had my shopping in my basket, and it was about £20's worth, I was racking my brains to think of what else to stick in the basket, and debating whether it was worth spending another £20 for a fiver off, when I remembered that DD had asked for a couple of things they have in Mr T for her birthday in ten days...so I bunged a value laminator, and a packet of pouches and a value stick blender in the basket. So she's is totally sorted now, and I got my fiver off!! Rather random gifts, but what she wanted!
http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/clubcard/bigexchange.asp here you go Pops...extended till 11th December.
Also re the Food Bank, if you want to help, what I usually do when I want to donate is to ask them what they are short of??? I asked today and the guy said tinned veg, anything but not baked beans! They try to put together a reasonably nutritious few days worth of food. Last time I asked, and was told OJ, Milk and sugar. I figure if someone can 'fill in the gaps' with what they have already, that will be another family that they can give a whole 'package' to! HTH
Mind you I told him I'd go to Aldi and then drop it off

Foodbank were collecting in Mr T today, they had little lists they were handing out to shoppers as they started their shopping.
I only popped in as Mr T had a pet food offer on which ends today, pet food was 25% off but if you bought items that were on a multi buy the 25% came off the original price and they multi buy came off too.
I got 8 packs of 6 felix and some cat biscuits too, I think it worked out at about £18 for the lot which was a huge saving and means I have enough cat food to last 7 weeks.:)0 -
Thank you Katie,
That is a great idea on both counts(the Food Bank and Tesco's)Much appreciated."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

I was trying to talk myself out of making an order I just don't need so you've convinced me, LOL!0 -
Oh well I am back to feeling like I am on a boat and also dreading the fact it is Monday tomorrow and I have to go to work. I dread what mood boss is going to be in and what I will get chucked at me either to deal with or in snarky comments this week. The combination is making me feel quite ill. Antiques roadshow on to try and distract me.Start info Dec11

Mrs Veg Plot? Why have you thanked every single posters posts today but not thanked any of mine? You know what everyone. It's time to hang up my MSE OS boots. Bullying via thanks button is getting beyond a joke.
I won't be logging back in now. Thanks for the help and support you have given me over time.Byeeeeeeeee

Oowww! I am so annoyed. I have just broken a tooth and it's near the front! Really don't know how this has happened, it just sort of fell out. I'm fairly sure this is going to be a crown and not a filling and although it's not terribly painful -there is a definate dull ache. I don't think I can hide this or make it wait until after Xmas. Don't even know if I can get an appointment before then.Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin
