Fuddle, Put it on your CV. It can't hurt. The basics must still be used in the selling of property. She must be interested because she did not have to mention a job was in the offing...

Yes, I'm going to concentrate on the side of my job that was liaising with Ed Psych's, OT's, speech and language teams etc to try and show I'm used to communicating with different agencies in order to fulfil a common goal. Something like that

I'm wondering whether to mention that I did my work experience in an estate agents but unfortunately it was 17 years ago. :rotfl: I don't think it will be relevant.

Welcome to the madhouse Henry :D Enjoy Kidcat

Make sure that you mention organisational skills too, and being a good team player, or whatever the current phrases are for those things. Good luck :)

Katieowl, when my dad passed away suddenly the cards and lettters wer really appreciated by my mum. The most special letter she recieved was from the local farm my dad had helped out after his retirement, he had helped their son learn how to farm!! They even closed the farm for the day and all attended the funeral and wake as a mark of respect. They still give my mum free vegetables too. So definatley send the thinking of you card.

I would always second sending the 'thinking of you' cards. Everyone always says how much they're appreciated and how they can always look back on them.

You have until recently worked / are currently working in an educational context. You have a positive, can-do outlook, are a good communicator, relate well to people at all levels from the very young to senior professionals, are a good team player, adept at defusing difficult situations and have excellent organisational skills.

And don't forget your qualifications, vocational as well as academic.

I get called upon to sit on selection/ interview panels where I work. Good luck :)

Fuddle, you can do this job!!!! You have seen the otherside as they say of the housing market. Basically you have lost everything, built up yourlife and now your moving into a lovely new home!! Some people are not exactly helpful for BR people, but after being though it im sure they can see theat you have a different view, and can help some of those that need it. Go for it girl, you deserve some happiness.

Its nice and sunny here today, have to visit DD. She arrived at my work last night very upset, it seems that she has miscalculated her money for the first time and cant pay the electric bill this month of £50. So after a discussion with OH we are dropping some money off this morning, along with a few bits from the freezer. As much as we are struggling, I worry that they will turn their heating down too much or even off if she worries. And due to having scoliosis (rods along the spine) she needs to keep very warm. Kids hey!!!

Well off to do the 1st of many washing loads.
