The Dragon, hugs to you.
I have had a dreadful morning. My dog Bruno had a stroke and I had to get him to the vet's. He is home now but very wobbly and distinctly unbalanced, his back legs are all over the place. He has regained the use of them and can totter in a straight line so I am hoping he will make a good recovery, as apparently there is nothing to be done but wait. It was an awful shock and I have spent the last four hours sobbing my heart out on and off. God knows how people cope when their children are seriously ill, I have been in bits just over my dog.
Arhh so sorry to hear of your dog probs, my little rosie is 15 yrs old she had a stroke 7 weeks ago and is now doing nicely, its left her with a weak bladder though:eek::eek:............
How old is he?......If rosie can pull through with a stroke, breast cancer and heart probs at 15 im sure your bruno will be okay.....Little pray for Bruno tonight from Rosie xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.......Take care..Sheila.......0 -

Bruno IS your children, my dear. Don't give a second thought to being upset. I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes too. We love them so much don't we? Hugs to you both.

7WW: What lovely memories you will always have of your DDad. I can just see the Nativity set with the 12 penguins guarding the manger.
I did a Nativity play once with 4 yearolds. After the main characters were given out I told the others they could choose what animals they would be. We had donkeys, cows, sheep and a gorilla.
Dragon: The waiting time is so hard. We are all with you, willing it to be good news.
Smileyt: Our dogs ARE our children. Lots of love and hugs.
Christmas Trees. At the church we have a Christmas Tree Festival. The Rev and I usually decorate a small artificial tree in a theme. One year it was 'Hark the Herald Angel Sing', last year it was 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star'. This year it was going to be 'See amid the winter snow', but with all the uncertainty about the Rev's operation we never did get round to it. We always carried our tree back next door after the festival so this year we look like having no tree. We'll see.

GULP. DS just opened his post that came today. A bill for the course fees from his college. £410, due by 13th December....
I knew we were going to have to pay for the course at some point, because when he couldn't get an apprenticeship, they had to do jiggling so he could stay on it. But for some reason I thought we were paying at the end, and I didn't ''quite" have that sum in my head. I thought a couple of hundred.
I can cover it, but it will mean dipping into my untouchable pot, and I can see no way of putting it back at the moment. I'll ****ing kill him if he drops out of this!!!
