  • KITTIE - I was in the same situation with my hairdresser who is a mobile one who came to the house. We'd been cut by her for some 12 years and she had almost become a friend, visiting once every 6 weeks. My hair was getting shorter and shorter and she was doing less of a good job cutting it each time she came as she was chatting all the time she was cutting. I finally had enough when someone called me Sir in a shop and cancelled the next appointment. That was some 3 years ago and although my hair took quite some time to grow out it is now long enough to plait or put up in a bun and I don't go to the hairdresser more than once a year for a small trim. It isn't easy going through the 'Hairy Bush' stage, but I think it's worth it now. Good Luck pet, Cheers Lyn xxx.

Lyn that is so inspiring and that is exactly what has been happening to me. I have never in my life had long hair but quite fancy being longer as well as white, after all my face has changed so maybe it will suit me now. My face used to be small and perky so short was good then. I am going no-where special over christmas so I may well pluck up the courage to get started right now. I would like to be like this lovely lady

Yip, I'm with you kittie. Look at this place we're going to rent. Right on a flood plain and only metres away from the 'extreme' flood zone. It beggars belief that those houses are there but it's my stop gap. It hasn't flooded today so maybe it is ok to build there? I'm concerned about insurance. I'm not sure it's more than 400m away from the river - will anyone insure me and what will happen if I can't get insured? I'm still looking forward to the move though, it still feels like a new chance and a step up the ladder but I'm all too aware of my surroundings.

Kittie, can you buy one off PC's forecasts?

20p for a kindle romance book that is in the number 1 spot. I like it :D Off to go read.

Rain is really heavy right now, lashing against the window. This I might have a horlicks ;)

  • KITTIE - Hannah Hauxwell is a fantastic person to aspire to be like, she's one of my favourites, a gentle real lady in every sense. Growing out a short haircut is exasperating at times, and be prepared to have to talk yourself out of having it cut at each stage of growth. I think the worst time is when the last layer grows out and you have a flat topped bob! But, if you can persevere with it, it gives you so much more versatility when it's long and even if you only pull it in at the neck with a scrunchie band, it is so much more feminine. Let me know what you decide, go on be brave, grow it out! Cheers Lyn xxx.

My person I'd like to have hair like is Phyllida Law, who always looks beautiful, and serene. L x.

I used to have my hair short all the time and really struggled to get past the 'crow's nest' stage....but by the time I could fasten it up in a slide it got easier. It is now the longest it has ever been and everyone keeps telling me not to get it cut as they love it like this. I like the fact I can wear it down when I go out or fasten it back if I go to the gym or if I am wearing my crash helmet on the scooter.

Fuddle you can buy one month of forecast from PC for fifteen pounds, I had a look last night at the prices. I will continue posting the ones I get though.

yes but don`t bother for dec, I`ll let you know when the R5 periods are and they are the danger times but tbh dec looks perfectly ok

omg, fuddle if only, re the hair. I`m actually dead straight, silky, quite thick and very shiny bright silver. lol, I have a wig somewhere, I`ll dig it out and wear it if I have to :rotfl: I wore it once at a wedding, now that was daring but no-one noticed so I could get away with it, then voila one day I will whip it off to expose my long silky hair :rotfl:

katie - its a shame that we cant pick our kids partners, DD broke up with her BF of a year some monthd back after he was unfaithful with one of her male friends!! And was exchanging inappropriate texts with several of her other friends both male and female. She is now back as "friends" with him and I do not like the person she is when she is around him.

fuddle - hope your OH got home safely

MrsVP - nah leave the ironing and rest a little, you need to be careful not to overdo it. :)
