Fuddle: Open Arms is our drop-in centre where homeless people, lonely people, needy people and desperate people can come for a hot meal, a bag of groceries, a duvet, sleeping bag or warm clothes if needed and someone to listen to them and give advice if it's wanted. Not to mention a good laugh and lots of hugs.
It's run by most of the churches in Ryde, but spearheaded by the most amazing chef and her mother, the Rev and yours truly.
It's the best thing that's ever happened to me and every Sunday night I come away on a high.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Monnagran, its so sad that we need centres like yours in this day and age but thank goodness people like you and yours exist to help out - you know that everything you give will be appreciated.
Im a silver surfer tooshort crop, I cut it the other night as it was driving me mad, the bathroom looked like a poodle parlour when I had finished - better than when I dyed it bright red though because then it looked like Hannibal Lecters kitchen. Glad I did it then though as at the moment I cannot raise my right hand above my waist let alone upto my head. As long as my hairs neat I can face the world with confidence but when its a mess I dont feel as if I can tackle things the same.
We are living on turkey drumstick for the rest of the year, who ever mentioned it (MR M £4) thank you so much it has saved us a fortune in meat. OH is addicted to wraps at the mo so am off to the local market tomorrow as they are 3 packs for a pound.
Hope everyone feet are still dry hugs ginnyClearing the junk to travel light

Good morning! I can't believe I'm the first one up - kettle's just boiled and the tea is brewing.
Monnagran - I am in awe of the good things your drop in centre is doing.
Well we are off up North to a funeral today. Thankfully the weather looks ok and we don't have to be there until lunch-time.
I'm really excited: one of my friends has organized a bulk order from the wholefood co-op. So on Thursday I will be taking delivery of flour, oats, more seeds that you can shake a stick at ad a year's supply of baking stuff. I've got lots of big plastic boxes to keep it i. And I've told boy cat he gets extra treats if he makes sure the mice stay away.
Better take OH a cup of tea and get the day started.
Have a good day everyone.0 -

Well my is quite short for now, well short for me.
Its known as a long bob with meduim high back. at the moment i have red hair. I got the pure white hairs coming through. My hair doesn't go grey just straight to white.
Need to get it done again as my roots are showing through. I'm thinking of asking my friend to put streaks in when she does it.She's a mobile hairdresser so i can trust her no to go too short.
Thanks everyone i'll let you know what the house is like tonight.
keep dry peeps x0 -
500 homes evacuated in the early hours in st asaph
I have just developed more floaters, they are the annoying floating grey things in my eyes. I had them in the right eye for a year and yesterday got two in my left eye. I always had little spots as I am myopic and they often appear due to `age` anyway. Grhh, now I have to wait for my brain to get used to them so that I stop dwelling on them. Imagine bits of fluff, flies and lines floating back and forth, left to right during the whole time eyes are open. Horrible for now but I know my brain will adapt, it has to, They do drive some people mad though
edit: my tv came on by itself this morning and also the breadmaker. Wierd, nothing wrong with the circuit so must have been a power surge. I must turn things off at night0 -

Morning well just having some tea and toast before braving the vagaries of train travel to the smoke. It is not actually currently raining so I a, going to walk the mile I had raided the penny jar for a taxi if it was raining as have to spend all day in the damp clothes when I get there otherwise.
Missed zdH last night due to crap timing and boss deciding I need to be in a meeting til 1830 last night despite it not being relevant.
Knackered again this am, just feel I need a weeks worth of sleep but never manage to get past 7am before being WIDE AWAKE.
Doglet is currently giving me The Eye Raised Look from his bed as he has been forbidden from going upstairs for boys cuddles , this is of course my fault and not DH who shut himself down here ....

The shampoo sounds interesting though. What brand is it, unixgirluk?
You get various brands but Home Bargains, B&M, Semi Chem all keep the same one small white/grey bottle, purple top and purple/silver writing. Its about 250ml and less than £3. Sorry can't remember the name, will check next time I'm in. I used to use it when I had blonde hair as it brought it up lovely. I'm now dark (which OH hates) but I'm the type of person to do something drastic when something unfortunate happens (redundancy back in March) and I was not cutting it as its now nearly waist length. I cut it short just over 10 years ago and its taken me this long to get it to this length. But I may go back to my natural colour....... tartan(mix of dark brown, light brown, dark blonde, light blonde and red)
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0
