Well apart from the ironing I have not managed to get anything else done as back is playing up again. Have had a sit down whilst the painkillers kick in so that I can stand and do the tea. DD2 is feeling better and has been out with friends since lunch time.OH has been working outside and I have stood and ironed whilst watching Guys and Dolls. feeling unsettled due to having been on my own so much today which is strange because I normally love the peace of being alone. OH is watching the Grand Prix so I had better start the tea or it will be a late one.I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order

Just been to play with DGS while his Mummy and Daddy did a huge shop at MR M. they picked me up one of the turkey drumsticks someone mentioned on the thread  its got to be ostrich, put it this way whatever it used to be part of I wouldnt like to meet it on a dark night :rotfl: The 'thigh' is in the sc and the leg is in the oven with the peach oudding I got off the thread - looks interesting, I love magic puddings.
Nipped to Wilkies and £land on the way and got some fab wrapping paper with spots on, really thick rolls 2 for £3 and they will probably last all year as they are no necessarily chrimbo wrap - will be useful for all types of crafty stuff. I also got a mini wheely bin for DS's rubbish on his desk at work, thinking they would be funny with sweeties in for other pressies too. They very kindly opened an Iceland right where we park so that was good news too.
Kidcat, so sorry about bunny, heres hoping tomorrow will be a better day for you hunny, you have had your fair share of lousy ones of late.
i think this stressful week has done me in as my arthritis has flared up big time and my left arm isnt working too well, thats when you realise how much you use the damn thing. Took my meds so hopefully it will improve soon. Hugs to all in need. xClearing the junk to travel light

So sorry about bunny kidcat. I do hope your little ones are ok and coping with their loss.
It's the radiator valves. Each radiator kick starts the boiler independently so the boiler is forever kicking in. 20 days left till bye bye.
I got an electric shock through our kettle a few years ago. I had my hand still in the sink after doing the dishes, washed down the bench and caught the metal on the kettle with the cloth. I felt it go through my arm, through my body and down my arm that was in the water. I was ok but panic attack ensued. I left with the girls to my MIL till it was found out what was wrong. The house wasn't earthed. The LL didn't have an electrical certificate, just PAT test.0 -

That happened to me fuddle once when I leant on the washing machine - we later found that when the RV had put a new plug on the WM he hadn't earthed it and the whole bloody thing was live. When the council electrician came out and checked it he asked me did I think hubby was trying to get rid of me...0

Sorry to hear about the bunny's passing, always so sad to lose a little furry member of the family.
I haven't been able to read up much apart from the last couple of pages, sorry if I've missed anything important.
I've also had a great time this weekend watching the early Christmas feelgood films - soooo cheesy but so good!
I've had an unexplained achey neck for a few days. I'm not sure if it's a cold or what - I'm taking some painkillers and strategically deploying hot water bottles, and I seem to be ok so far.
Lunches and evening meals sorted for next week - made a huge bolognaise in the SC, and a large pot of an odd recipe that an old friend gave me years ago. It sounds weird but tastes amazing... boil rice with a few peanuts, layer with tinned tomatoes and cheese, and bake.
I think I'll have that for lunches at work, and the bolognaise for evening meals. Good thing I like samey food!
Watching Superman now, gotta love an oldie but goodie. I'm definitely in cheesy movie mode!
I have a hankering to make gingerbread now, after reading this thread... you're all so naughty!I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: oh you do make me laughthank you
Have cheated and done takeaway for dinner, meat hadnt defrosted and kids were all whiny so I took path of least resistance:rotfl:
We had a WM that became live when it shook some of its bits enough that they were touching wires, we found out when it exploded spectacularly in the utility room late one night, was so relieved the cats were not in bed as they have all been electrocuted.
Have sorted our house contents insurance out today as renewal was tomorrow. Renewal price was a little more expensive than last year but not much, however I shopped around and found one for almost half the price, higher cover, Ds14 bikes included, possessions away from home and accidental damage. Am stunned, all for £82, I was able to pay all in one sum too so no interest on payments. :j0 -
Must catch up on what I have been missing, last time I was reading, sadly many were having some troubles...:(I hope things are better but I fear the weather has been causing problems on top of everything else...
It will probably be closed but I have explained my reasons for being MIA on another thread but not gone into every detail...thank you anyone who missed me..."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson
