I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

can you freeze gingerbread dough? I have far too much.
  • Jem123 I know it must all sound a bit scary at the moment but at least now you have a diagnosis something can be done about it.

Unixgirluk the basket looks great. I enjoy learning new skills

My migraines are hormone related (oh the joys of being a woman) and seem to have become worse as I approached middle age. I occasionally get visual disturbances and nausea, become light sensitive and suffer the pain for 3 days. My GP eventually put me on amitryptaline which has made the world of difference. The down side is that I have to take it every day and it makes me sleepy in the evenings.

Made 2 wheat bags yesterday one for home and one for work. Will be making another one today for a colleague at work. OH has put an order in for some mince pies today so will be making pastry this afternoon. Also need to do some ironing as well as I did not iron last weekend and ironed what I needed as I went along during the week and never touched anyone elses ironing.
I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order :D.

Feeling somewhat more human. After waking at 2.30 and being awake for a couple of hours, I removed to the spare room away from OH's snoring. Managed to sleep from about 4.45 to 8.15. I am hoping I will now be able to stay up until a reasonable bed time and sleep through the night. I guess a 10 mile walk yesterday was not such a great idea in my sleep deprived state. Enjoyed it though - and the HM steak and ale pie I had in the pub! I am so rock n roll :rotfl: I was in bed and fast asleep by 8.30!:D

Am planning a quiet - ish day. DS football is waterlogged off so we have no plans except ferrying DD to work and back. I am going to catch up the washing (DS was threatened that he would have no school uniform if he didn't put the pile of laundry on his floor in the laundry bin - he had to step over it or walk through it just to get in and out of bed). I also have a fridge and a veg draw full of goodness knows what - and in what condition, so am going to sort it all out. Chop, cook, freeze or chuck as appropriate.

Lovely bright and sunny here. have a good day all.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Am inspired by the gingerbread reindeer - am going to suggest it as an activity for DS8 class, they are always looking for things like that to do.:)

Have woken and neck and shoulders are much improved and my head feels ok too, I now I have to be careful with it today but otherwise am much improved.

Our bunny however looks like she is passing away, she is about 6 and that is expected life, but our last pair of bunnies were way over the expected at 12 and 13, so we kind of expected this one to. BUt today she appears almost comatose, has not come for her morning strokes, she is very peaceful, so am not interfering but will be ready to get to a vet should she start to suffer.

Forgot to get the meat out of the freezer last night so no roast dinner for us today oops! Will have to have a root in the freezer and see what I can conjure up - but am guessing bolognese may be on the cards.
