What is an aura in terms of a migrane Byatt?
Going to try gingerbread men tomorrow as a practice for making ginger bread to make a gingerbread house on Christmas Eve. It's a tradition that has grown with the girls. We always buy the kits but this year I'm going to try it myself. I'm really nervous about it so want a couple of practises before hand.
I saw a picture on FB yesterday of gingerbread men turned upside down and decorated as reindeer heads!
I'll see if I can find...

Pic, just wanted to say, so happy about your good news regarding DH, I am sure you are both very relieved and happy. It's scary how stress affects the body, I hope that is resolved soon too. Brilliant news. xx
Thanks, brought a tear to my eye.
Thinking of all those who are struggling with floods, please stay safe things can be replaced.
Don't see Cameron with a mop I thought we were all in this together???
Talking of teetotal we haven't had a drink for over a year. Part of the bullying at work was DH boss told everyone he was an alcoholic and always stunk of booze.
He only ever had a couple of cans of beer at most and the reason he smelt of booze was I bought a load of them Mary Berry brandy cupcake things when they went down to a £1. Yes they did smell when the pack up box lid was opened and cringed at the thought of DSS opening his at school  She must have known it was the cakes though and was just being a poisonous *****.
Dogs are desperate to go for a walk but it's lashing it down.

Such a simple but brilliant idea xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Morning all I woken up with the wind howling and rain lashing against my windows. And I've got to walk the dog and go shopping arhhhh.

Have been meaning to create a gingerbread board as they are spread over a few of my boards, and you have inspired me.
Kidcat sorry to flabber your gast.
Stiltwalker that's ever so kind, and I am in awe of your skills. We aren't at that stage yet, I need to find her a new obsession!0 -
Absolute nightmare with the rain here. This amount wasn't forecast and certainly not the severity. DH has gone fishing, I'm really mad and worried but he's been invited to fish for a team he wants to get into and doesn't want to let them down. I just hope the match is cancelled but fishermen are a stubborn, defiant breed. At least he's with people and some of his mates.
There is a warning for a real bad day of rain tomorrow so a least I can prepare for it. Hope everyone is ok.
Thank you for the gingerbread link. I will have a look when I get on the machine - still in bed
I don't have a recipe no. I need to hunt one out. I will post what I find
Edit: They're brilliant
I'm going to do this one
Will the piped icing just be water and icing sugar?0 -
No you'll be much better with royal icing, buy special royal icing sugar and follow instructions. Or, am sure I've got a pin somewhere on perfect sugar cookie icing, will look. May have cream of tartar added.0

Thanks P, I thought it looked thicker. Off to Pin for a browse (and a nose at your pins)

Kidcat, don'y worry about what people think, my kids did all sorts of stuff & they aren't Auty, I always blamed it on having a large family.
My all time best was sending my apologies for not attending a meeting.
I'm sorry I can't make it tonight, Lizzie was sick on the living room carpet, I cleaned it up but the carpet was still damp, John slipped on the damp carpet & smacked into the radiator & broke his nose, I've managed to staunch the bleeding, but I still need to get the blood out of the carpet before MIL arrives later & Lizzie is still being sick.'
