  • Kidcat (((hugs))) I dont know what else to say so will leave it at that.

Today i went to town to meet my eldest daughter for shopping and we had a lovely time. After shopping we went to my local yarn shop who were having an open day for Project Linus. They meet once a week and make quilts to send to seriously ill children. My daughter decided to have a go at sewing some 4 inch squares together and didnt stop until she had sewn together a 6x6 square quilt top! She was so proud of herself as she has never used a sewing machine before:T

Thank you guys for the pick me up :)

PIC - am glad that nothing sinister has been found but am appalled that your OH could be bullied to such an extent it has made him this poorly - I do hope he can get this sorted - and I would really consider legal action if that is at all possible, these people should not be allowed to get away with this.

Ginny - DS8 used to sleep too, when he was baby and toddler he slept for hours on end - I always said I would pay for it down the line!! :)

I rarely drink now, we hardly ever go out and when we are in Oh will often have a drink so I dont like too just in case of child electrocution etc:rotfl:

Kezlou - my understanding is that in addition to the 15 extra hours on the statement your DS should be receiving 10 hrs from school - effectively a full time TA.

Stiltwalker - we are hoping to get to the same Bolton event too.

We are having to re think our household lighting, DS has managed to reach both his and the hallways recessed lighting and dismantle them - they were both fitted when we moved in and were considered to be out of his reach - we didnt factor in him dangling from the top of the bannisters though! No idea what we will end up with but it will likely involve more holes in the ceilings - at this rate I will have to have them all replastered.

Silvasava - thanks for the idea - will try it tomorrow but I'm sure it's more tan that as the dash lights seem to have gone too now. You know the illumination which comes on when you turn on the lights not the individual ones which come on when you do something, those are still ok (so far - fingers crossed).

Our Christmas crafts workshop was really successful - lots of people came and everyone wanted to know when we were going to be doing the next one! Jiggered now though it was fun but hard work. DD made some felt, she did really well - chose all her own colours and arranged them and everything.

Kezlou - lovely to see you back and that is good news about the statement, that's my next thing to do as I want DD to have a statement before she goes into school to ensure she gets the level of support that she needs.

Kidcat - you never know, might see you there - look for the harassed looking mummy trying to herd cats! Hang on there may well be quite a few of us that fit that description - LOL! seriously I'll be the one with the 2 kids in a double buggy that DD has most obviously grown to big for!

Hugs to those needing, particularly PIC, Possession and Kidcat. Odd time here, I went back on to my prescription painkillers with the feeling that the over the counter ones wouldn't be enough for winter.
I've lost over 2 stones since I last took them (August/Sept) and the Tramadol put me on another planet. I had to ask DS to take me shopping as I didn't risk riding the trike in traffic. That was a first.
I think I would have been OK, but I may not have reacted as fast in an emergency.
Met my wheelchair using pal for a coffee earlier a tootle round Mr T and home - and I felt wiped out! That's got to be the tablets.
Now getting my mojo together for an evening out - apart from my usual weekly music club outing this is a rare event.

One thing I've realised since joining up is that I can't be as open on here as I would like, due to being identifiable, my own fault for picking my username! I'm a very open person in real life but I'm now conscious that I would like to share some things but can't - it might infringe the privacy of my loved ones.
Never mind, I shall have to offer support instead!

I'm a bit worried about a friend I haven't seen in ages. She was supposed to call around but didn't and hasn't answered the phone. I think she is OK but I honestly don't know - I need to go to her place and check. I now feel guilty for not doing it earlier this week. Off to phone.

My migraine is returning, I have avoided bright lights all day and have stayed away from caffeine to - does any body have any suggestions?

Managed to throw a chicken casserole in the SC this morning, there is tonnes of it, yet all but me will be having it tonight, littlies as expected turned it down as did DS14, DD18 also refused it and then to add insult OH has refused to eat it as well - choosing to eat a ready meal instead!

McCulloch could you name change - or start again with a new account - you could PM anybody you wanted to know your new name, when I originally joined I didnt get the idea of forums so originally signed up with my email username!

Byatt thanks for that - I have never spoken to doctor as I try to avoid them, I gave in over the summer to see them about my back and they ended up looking at my anaemia!! They have a tendency to focus where they want rather than where I need them, but yes I think I may have to bite the bullet and go have a chat :)
  • Imigran is the OTC migraine tablet, but I think you can only buy it if you have been prescribed it before, lots of interactions, but it is amazing stuff. I have suffered for years to the point now I'm on beta blockers as prophylaxis for migraines which have been fantastic! Def speak to the doctor if you keep suffering, they can issue you with a supply of imigran to have if you have another attack, is quite expensive, around £12, to buy.
