A couple of handfuls of beans, a drizzle of olive oil, a clove of garlic, salt, pepper, half a teaspoon of cumin and whizz. Though if I have canellini beans left I tend to just pop a little olive oil and salt on them and eat them as is, cold
Thank you Mr BondI knew I could rely on you!

I love canellini beans if you have plenty. I used to make a salad with those, a tin of tuna, a grated carrot, some diced red onion, salt, pepper and olive oil, then served over fresh spinach leaves cold.
Incidentally, whilst I have been all focused on your recipes, I had my fish in the oven.... and forgot to put on the veg :rotfl: Fish is now out of the oven, veg are cooking.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
morning everyone. I went and looked at insurance yesterday and found some much lower quotes - £13 a month instead of £40+. I havnt accepted any of them yet though as i want to query some details with my housing association like date of build, is the roof concrete and is the house prefabricated or made of concrete? Its both actually but for insurance purposes there was no way of stating that on the form. Also does my house count as terraced as a small part of my neighbours house touches my house? No place on the form to put i have an internal garage either so i strongly suspect that the quotes will risse considerably once that is taken into account.
Lisakay - my teenage girls think they arent normal because they fight and argue. I have tried but cannot convince them that arguing and fighting between siblings is totally normal.
Oh yes - my five year old has started singing along to the music on the radio. So cute!0 -
Kitty: When I visit my family I usually buy and cook a largish piece of gammon. It doesn't interfere with anything they have planned and is great for sandwiches and snacks after Christmas - if there is any left. My Dad, when he came for Christmas, always sent me a very welcome cheque beforehand ' to help with expenses'.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Ah, I had a feeling it'd be tough getting them. I fully intend to try making my own wrappers when I'm well again, if that comes about I'll post the resulting recipe complete.
I've made my own in the past but I frankly can't be bothered again! They weren't as nice either. Or I suppose, not what I was used to.

Well after an awful few weeks (and really not feeling like doing anything). OH has paid for a basket weaving course for me as an early christmas present! :j
Its a 1 day course (a lot of money £55) but all materials are supplied and we're taught where to find willow or dogwood, how to prep it and weave it. We're going to be making a round basket on saturday. I'm sooo excited.... is that sad?CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. If you drink at all that is often a very expensive part of Christmas and the easiest to buy in advanceIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

Not sad at all Unix - how fab, I'd love to do a course like that. What a lovely OH you have.
DH is having a phone appointment with one of his consultants up at Kings, so I've spent the time wisely and made soup.....lots of soup. I found lots of bags of bits of left over veg in the freezer, two bags of lentils I'd cooked up and three bags of mixed beans. The veg got roasted off for a bit more flavour and everything else got cooked up, blitzed down and mushed together. A good kick of chrushed chillis and some cumin and it's delish. Added bonus of more space in the freezer for the Christmas bits too.
DH saw our GP first things about his increase in falls and some issues withs his hands locking and he's being sent back for another MRI, the GP thinks things have deteriorated with his neck discs.....fun fun fun.
Off to do a bit of crochet whilst DH finishes his phone call then it's early lunch and if the weather holds I'd like to get out for a walk before cracking on with a quilt I'm making DD1 for Christmas."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Morning everyone, Had a very busy day today so far. DD had to be at the dentist at 9am and we had to be there for over half an hour. Popped into the town there, and had look around the new b&m store. Was huge!! Didnt buy anything, need to wait for payday to even start the xmas shopping.
Have found a laptop on ebay, finidhes tomorrow and if it isnt too expensive might get it for DD. Will have to collect it friday - payday.
Off to get changed and ready fro work again. Roll on saturday as its my next day off after 10days straight working, the money is very handy.
Fuddle BR friendly house insurance, coop are reportibly good. I am with my bank (think the horse one). They didnt ask reguarding BR, but i mentioned it and they said as long as you had no conditions imposed on the BR they it was ok. I found getting an actual bank account harder.
Its rather windy and wet here in the east. Just put some squashages in the SC with gravy (misshaped sausages from the freezer!!) throw in some mixed veg and just potatoes to cook later.
Hope everyone feels better soon. Keep wrapped up warm and.... carry on!!!BSC member 137
