Watering can - use an empty milk container, either put holes in the lid for a sprinkler effect or cut diagonally to make a watering can (google milk container watering cans and it should bring you some ideas)

Watering can - 2 litre milk bottle, take off the cap and prize out the cardboard lining. Very carefully using a hot skewer make holes all over the cap and you've got a milk bottle watering can!!! (if you use the 3 litre bottles, then you've got a 3 litre watering can!!! ) Easy peazy - Get the OH to do it for you!!!!! Screw cap back on bottle and water away!

POOKY and I obviously in contact in the ether, same thought same time, spooky Pooky!!! and Mrs Chip - we are all clones I tell you, we all think the same thoughts!!!!!!

You should take it back to the garden centre for a replacement or refund., This happened to my parents when we got them one for the golden anniversary...the garden centre was happy to change it.

Was almost hot here today, 19C *in shock*. Got a fabulous expensive rose from the garden centre - a Mary Rose rose. :)
RV hauled it out of the pot to plant it and the top half of the roots came away :( so it's in the ground and will see how it does. Looking a wee bit sorry for itself so far but then so would I if I'd been ripped in half. He's paying for a replacement if it dies!

Well, what a smashing day it has been.

We have been the recipients of two acts of kindness today.

This morning our neighbour very kindly replace our old and frankly useless outdoor tap. It has been dripping for ages, and recently the hose just would not stay attached.

And this afternoon the lovely man at the camp site took out our broken fridge/freezer and replaced it with a old one he had stored at the site - saving us a couple of hundred pounds and quite a bit of grief.

So I need to have a baking session to say thanks, and I think a few cans of Aldi bitter (a particular favourite of OH) will be heading off as gifts.

I spent a couple of hours at the site whilst the fridge was being replaced, and it was stunning in the sunshine. The camp must have one of the most spectacular aspects of any site, I never get fed up with looking at it.

Mar - I would at least ring the garden centre and tell them what has happened (unless it was RV being ham-fisted :D), just in case you need to get it replaced.

    Have a lovely evening everyone!

The wind has picked so just came in.

Aw what lovely people mrs chip.

Just got a text saying dodgy friends have been to a special disability night tigether. Normally one won't go because its to expensive. Lo and behold they know I'm not going so both go.
No invite from the other friend or a text asking how kids are. Well thats just confirmed what I've thought of them.

Ds2 was so cute today, the little girl was asking what game he was playing through the fence. So they started tslking to each about dinosaurs.it was so lovely to see, think having the fence allowed him speak without looking into her eyes.

Oh I was wrong earlier about the van, apparently the smoke was coming from the hand brake. So needs new brake cylinder and lines and other things. So fingers crossed will be fixed on Sunday.
